Ah, the pitter patter of tiny feet in huge combat boots. Shut up!

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Home news. Wallybee's job is disappearing in August. At least they gave her a decent amount of notice. I'm not that sorry about it, the place had turned toxic for her over the last six months.

Meanwhile, Ryan can now count up to ten in Chinese, without any prompting and with excellent pronunciation. (Which actually puts his Chinese ahead of his English. He still needs prompting to get up to ten, and pronounces 'five' as 'fart'. No way that could end badly.)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I was with you until the olives.

I just spent 45 minutes cleaning up a brand new bottle of Pimm's off my kitchen floor. I'd had one drink out of it. Color me pissed. Here's hoping I got it all and no wee beasties get slivers in their paws.

And now, an hour late, I will walk the dog and feed the animals and myself. And hope this migraine doesn't get any worse.

eta ahaha just found bits of glass in the frying pan on the stove. This is going to be a fun game for a week or so, I can tell.

Oh, smonster! I feel pain for you.

Oh, smonster... what a shitty day for you. I hope you get some rest and get clear of that migraine.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Yikes, smonster! Def feel your pain - I broke a glass spice bottle (nearly empty and with replacement already in place, thank goodness) my first or second week housesitting. I found a few last shards the sixth week when I was giving the kitchen one last clean before moving back out. Good luck finding the little buggers with your eyes rather than your bare feet!

And I hope the rest of your evening is lovely and chill.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Ugh, smonster. I hope you got all of the glass (eta: damn!) and stave off the headache

And I'd like to be sorry about Wallybee's job but since you don't, billytea, maybe it's just a good thing. Fart for five? Yeah, that'll end in hilarity.

Please to postpone this event until after you have lived a long life.

Well, that is the plan. I just know that everything living, dies. So maybe I, and people I care about and even people I dislike, can be lucky enough to do so painlessly eventually.

But not tonight because I went shopping and there are more strawberries than I wish to consume tonight.

At least once I introduce him to the music of "Five For Fighting".

You must start reading to him from the Walter the Farting Dog series.

Thrive to spite them

Sorry about Wallybee's job.

There's a notice on the library's facebook page. Evidently some one (or people) have been taking their James Patterson and Stephen King novels. They are short 50 and asking if anyone has extras if they'd donate them so that the library doesn't have to replace them all.

The library is small - they have two computers for people to share. I'm pretty sure they don't have any kind of sensor for the books.

May a good opportunity to work somewhere non-toxic and generous with wages and benefits come to Wallybee soon.
