You know, it's funny. We went to war never looking to come back, but it's the real world I couldn't survive.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Detail-oriented, proactive, organized all seem boring and ass-kissy.

I think ass-kissy as those are (for a sec I thought you were suggesting ASS KISSY!!) they're great. I mean, you ARE a Virgo! C'mon!! Break out the thesaurus.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Hrm. Clever, curious, articulate, assertive, analytical, articulate and industrious?

You have articulate twice. Practical?

I went with "Intelligent, efficient, curious, articulate, assertive, analytical, and funny."

When put through a thesaurus, this equals (when I went with the first word of the synonyms, unless a repeat) "able, accomplished, analytical, clear, absolute, cogent, and absurd."

Those are awesome words!!

On chatting with a friend, it occured to us another friend who that ad might be. So emailed her and asked "IS THIS YOU!?!?!" first, before replying to the actual ad.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Having another of those moments when I'm super-annoyed with someone and realizing what they're doing that's annoying me is a trait I have, too. So I'm trying to wallow in how much this makes me annoyed with them so that I realize that it's something I REALLY DON'T WANT TO DO because I don't want people to find me that annoying as well. If only it only took one lesson like this to change my behavior. It takes more, but at least it's a step.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

mmmm, i had a delightful salad of fresh sliced fennel with oranges last week.

my only negative experience with licorice was accidentally buying a box of the double-salted dutch variety. The cashier gave me a very odd look while i was checking out but said nothing. I got home, opened it, popped one in my mouth, and nearly turned inside out. Then of course i had to trick everyone else in the house to try a piece. Next time i went o that sweet shop the cashier told me she was surprised i didn't return the stuff. Oh no, i had to inflict it on my friends and coworkers.

I think that perhaps lightly salted licorice would be intriguing, but that double-salted stuff made me rinse out my mouth twice with water, drink a glass of water, then brush my teeth and gargle with mouthwash before drinking another glass of water. It should have a big warning sticker on the box.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

My ex-husband worked his way through Harvard by crewing on an Alaskan fishing boat. He worked on a small boat where the captain kept himself awake on long watches by eating licorice, which he hated.
