Oh, I get it. You just don't like who did the rescuing, that's all. Wishin' I was your boyfriend what's-his-height. Oh wait, he's run off.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

“Not dead yet!”

So are the Mariners.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Happy Birthday, Plei!

So I went and bought a fitbit the other day--was curious about how it would say my sleep was (in addition to the step-counting etc). Saturday night it said I had 100% sleep efficiency, even though I remembered waking up several times. So I put it on "sensitive"...and last night it said I only slept like, 5 hours out of 9 that I was in bed. Hmm. I'm not sure what to believe!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Happy birthday, Plei!

smonster, I hope your shoulder feels better soon.

How is it supposed to be tracking your sleep?

How is it supposed to be tracking your sleep?

By movements, basically...(that's how it tracks everything--it has an accelerometer like the iphone). So I suppose if you were having flailing nightmares but still asleep, or sleepwalking, it would be inaccurate. I know that I usually sleep pretty still, so that seems like it would be accurate...except I don't know how "sensitive" sensitive mode is! It's pretty clear to me regular mode didn't capture any of my movements!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I wonder who the first NFL team will be to do a video?

Thanks, WindSparrow. I've been taking ibuprofen, which helps. Believe it or not, this is a holdover from that stupid misplaced flu shot - I really need to do some yoga or something to strengthen it, because every time I overdo it even a little (like, moving furniture up steps and having to do an overhead press) it really hurts.

Yesterday I slept in until 11 am. Today I woke up at 5:30 am and couldn't get back to sleep. So I took Frankie for a long walk in the relative cool (82 degrees) up to the independent coffee place and then back again. Then I fed the animals, and myself, and got back in bed and slept from 9:15 am to about 1 pm. Oy.

Next, I *will* finish redoing my resume, by golly. And then send it out for forwarding.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I think I can judge the nights when I'm a restless sleeper by whether the cat is in the bed with me when I wake up. He likes to sleep tucked behind my knees, and too much movement makes him go away. Either that, or I sleep better when he's there!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I knew my coughing had gotten out of hand when the dog left the bed to sleep in the hall.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Just got off the phone with a reporter/blogger from NOLADefender.com about the Beers Not Bullets fundraiser I'm helping organize. Craziness- I started out just being one volunteer to help, and through a variety of events, became basically the chief organizer. It's exciting but NERVE WRACKING. Ah well, as long as everyone shows up, things should be fine.

This is the type of situation where the smart phone is both a blessing and a curse. Thank god I remembered to mute it before my massage today.

Event planning is stressful- if you do it well, no one notices the work involved and it's only when something goes awry that your efforts are exposed. (which can be annoying!)

Just a few more days...
