It did help with the allergy symptoms - swelling gone, itching gone. Sadly I still have to go back in to get further treatment for the pink eye. I am annoyed. Ah well, could be worse, could be raining.

A coworker of mine recently posted on Facebook that his grandfather had gone home after being in the hospital with cancer, and he missed him. I was *just* about to post that I was glad he was better, and when would he get to see him again, when I realized from the other comments that by "gone home" he meant he died.

Holy CRAP. What a major faux pas that would have been. And yet, seriously? Was I really supposed to know that gone home meant gone to Heaven?

(No sympathies needed for me, btw, I only know the guy from the office. He's just on my Facebook because, well, everyone from the office got on everyone else's FB like we're in high school and now it's bad form to drop anyone.)

This is why I gave the boys a heads up about the Happy Birthday banners at Christmas time. Please do not ask who is having a birthday.

So, called the after-hours appointment line for the clinic, they got me a 9am appt. with a doc I'd seen before. I arrived at the clinic to be told that he was not on the schedule for the day, but they could get me squeezed in with someone new to me. Yup, still have pink eye. The reaction to the drops might be a sulfa allergy. Also gave me an antibiotic for the annoying, irritating cough (which has not yet progressed to the point that I would have gone in just for it, so that will save me some a bit of bother later.

Stupid pink eye.

Last night I met Will at a half way point and we went to Stowe and had dinner at Frida's Taqueria. The food was good but it was pricey so that's going to be a special occasion place. They make guacamole table side. Will had tacos - carnitas and carne asda. I had pork and black bean tamales.

Today we're supposed to do something when he gets off work but it's raining.

I went to the farmer's market, passed on strawberries. They look good but everyone was selling quarts and I don't think I could have eaten them all.

And the Humane Society was having a fund raiser so I stopped by that and tasted Cabot Greek Style Vanilla Bean yogurt. Which is very good, custardy. I have a peach and some blackberries in the fridge and some dessert cups. So I cut up the peach and tossed that and blackberries with sugar. Later tonight I'm going to make assemble some kind of dessert.

I'm glad you got some relief, Windsparrow. I hope it continues to improve. Sorry about the must-be-seen-ness of it all, though. Arghh.
