Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Entergy said the power should be on between 12-5pm today, smonster?

Smonster, moving~ma and calm~ma, because I find that calm~ma is always needed on moving day.

I need to finish cleaning up the apartment before D gets here and start the tomato sauce for dinner with his parent. I'm being extraordinarily lazy because I frelled something in my back during the MRI the other day.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

After two hours on the phone with Apple last week, in which I tried to reinstall OS X and the installation repeatedly failed, they determined that, since there didn't seem to be any other problem, the problem must be an error with my installation disc. So they sent me a new disc, and, of course, the installation failed at exactly the same point with the new disc.

not your mom's socks.

hooray for smonster getting things done! and much calm~ma indeed.

sj - good on you for getting through the appointment yesterday.

I have returned from the dentist. it was ok. Also? today I feel much better than I have in a while. So very grateful to the current combo of drugs that is allowing me to breathe and see at the same time.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

~ma for the move, and for strength, and for sanity, smonster. I'm so proud of you, and happy for you.

sj, I hope your back eases up quickly.

Hil, that sounds extremely annoying. You have my sympathy.

“Not dead yet!”

Things I did not want to be dealing with today: flooding in my basement due to an outdoor faucet leaking INTO the wall.

Oh, dear. Houses sit around plotting new ways to screw with their owners, don't they?

Yikes, Barb. That sounds like a complete pain. Good luck.

The clean up is done! Now I really need to get cooking because I don't want G hanging around in the kitchen with me when he gets here.

No lie. The older they are, the craftier their plots (pun NOT intended).

As it is, we were going to be redoing our deck this summer instead of getting new windows, because the deck has become a bit of a liability. Hopefully, this leak thing is not a HUGE deal and we can get it fixed with a minimum of pain.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh Barb. We had to deal with something similar a few months ago. Pipe burst in the wall and started leaking like crazy on both sides. I will say the plumbing parts of the problem were easily fixed, so I hope for the same for you. And no other lasting damage from the leak.
