[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

“Not dead yet!”

Oh, dear. Houses sit around plotting new ways to screw with their owners, don't they?

No lie. The older they are, the craftier their plots (pun NOT intended).

As it is, we were going to be redoing our deck this summer instead of getting new windows, because the deck has become a bit of a liability. Hopefully, this leak thing is not a HUGE deal and we can get it fixed with a minimum of pain.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh Barb. We had to deal with something similar a few months ago. Pipe burst in the wall and started leaking like crazy on both sides. I will say the plumbing parts of the problem were easily fixed, so I hope for the same for you. And no other lasting damage from the leak.

Oh, man, Barb, that really sucks. Our basement got pretty wet last spring, and it was not fun.

Hope it's containable.

“Not dead yet!”

So far it seems to be and luckily, we didn't have too much stuff on the floor that wasn't furniture, so it's not like a bunch of stuff got ruined.

We got everything moved out of the immediate area and someone's coming to look at it this afternoon. Hopefully, the worst we'll have to do is pay a clean-up service to extract water from the carpet. (Much as I hate that carpet, replacing it is not high up on my wanna do list.)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Glad it's not too bad, Barb.

Entergy said the power should be on between 12-5pm today, smonster?

Supposedly!

My mom has been here since 9:30, cleaning and packing. The goat farm people (K & D) came and were total fucking rock stars, like I knew they would be. They packed half the damn cube, including all the furniture I'm taking and a ton of boxes, and did it well, in THREE HOURS. Man, do I ever owe them. And I think everything will fit (woot!).

My afternoon help can't come, unfortunately, but I need to do more sorting and packing anyway - down to stuff like toiletries and cleaning supplies. There will be maybe 20 more boxes to load, max.

I'm still a total stress-bunny, but oh my goodness. They did such a wonderful job.

The tomato sauce is made and the kitchen cleaned up with 5 minutes to spare.
