Giles: I jump out of the circle, jump back in, and, and, shake my gourd. Buffy: Hey, I think I know this ritual. The ancient shamans were next called upon to do the Hokey-Pokey and to turn themselves around.

'Dirty Girls'

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

weather dot com tells me that grass pollen has been high and going to get worse over the next couple of days.

We've got wafting clouds of pollen going by today. Ugh.

The status is NOT quo.

Pix, that is such bullshit! This cost $35 to replace.

Yep. And ND says he could replace the entire keyboard and inner casing for $300. I will ask them if there is any shot of getting my hands on the laptop for him to see if he can fix it, but I suspect it has been relegated to Apple heaven.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

bonny, I'm sorry you are having such a miserable time. Am I remembering there is some reason why Tylenol is not an option for you? I find it often kicks fever better than NSAIDS, but if you can't, you can't.

Hil, that sounds like a pain in the behind.

sj, I'm glad you are having such a nice weekend.

Pix, still boggling over the IT ass-y-ness.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Pre-coffee:

{{bonny}} feel better.

Thanks, but I'm not sure that I'm at the point where I could really write more than a sentence or two. Also, I don't know how to email with the Hebrew alphabet.

Whenever you'll feel up to it. As for emailing in Hebrew - there's always the Hebrew virtual keyboard.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Yay for impromptu getaways, sj!

I am awake. I went to sleep less than 4 hrs ago. And my sis is staying over, so I can't even get up and be productive, or try sleeping on the couch. ::grumps::

The status is NOT quo.

Heh. Happy progress in the laptop incident. Got an email from my US Director in response to my letter:

I knew nothing about this situation or the "senior admin" decision. I think it's an issue to be taken up with [jerky head of business dept].

This is very good news. The business guy has a ton of power and this may not matter in the long run, but it means that he acted on his own and then claimed the senior admin team made the decision when they did not even know about the situation. That means I will have advocates.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Argh. eHarmony kept matching me with people in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, which are both about three hours away, and trying to meet guys who live out there hasn't really worked, so I reset my preferences to say that I prefer people who live within 60 miles of me, and now the site is just giving me a whole ton of guys who spend their entire profile talking about how much they like hunting. There have to be guys living around here who aren't hunters.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That's good, Pix. Advocates are good, esp advocates in senior administration.

Art Crawl!!!

Hil - I have a friend living in rural Wisconsin who had a similar problem with eHarmony. . .no actual solve for that problem unfortunately.
