Stopping by for a boohoo.
I am so uncomfortable.
I've had a fever for the last couple of days. Achy and tiring, but no other symptoms. Curses. Completely screwed the grand get-it-done weekend I had planned.
I was actually in bed for 12 hours last night! Not asleep the whole time, but disinterested in doing anything else.
I'm wanting to think it is an allergy thing. weather dot com tells me that grass pollen has been high and going to get worse over the next couple of days. WOE. I'm not an allergy having person! Or was not.
My one shimmering hope is that the grass pollen is moderate and going to go down tomorrow. PLEASE let it be that. I really, truly want to feel better now.
I took an Alleve a bit ago to reduce the fever. The fever went UP. How is that possible?
Is there anything else I could take?
I'm not sneezing (more than twice a day), do not have a sore throat, or itchy eyes. Just a fever.
Bother.
Are you getting lots of fluids, bonny?
Add me to the list of neti pot lovers so I gotta prosletyze (or however you spell that) it really helps.
Oops I forgot {{{bonny}}} I'm sorry you're feeling crummy.
I also forgot that I came in here to post because my sister was
howling
in the living room and when I asked her what she was watching she said, "Thurgood Marshall." Who knew?
Alleve doesn't really fix fever, and can take a couple days to really kick in. I'd suggest if you really think it's allergies to try benadryl.
In other "Oh dear" news: So, due to a couple of ex-girlfriends, I have a waterproof mattress pad. I realized as I was cleaning and washing sheets and deciding to move my bed to another wall of the room, that I hadn't washed it in a while (...there hasn't been a girlfriend in a while either). So, I stuck it in the washer. Tried to take it out, and realized that the "waterproof" and the "mattress pad" had gotten separated and twisted up, and the "waterproof" part had captured a couple gallons of water, all twisted up like a balloon. DOH! I think I ended up tearing a hole (or many?) in it to get the water out. I suspect I may need to just go buy a new one.
~ma for your family, quester, and congrats on the new addition!
bonny, I hope you feel better soon.
Laga, I'd be tempted to throw a used tampon at those douchebags.
Frelling hotel internet has eaten 2 long posts.
Trying again.
Other than the hotel, I'm really enjoying this trip. I spent way too much today on bras at a wonderful little lingerie shop. It turns out my band size went down and my cup size went up. A perfect fitting bra feels so good!
Dinner tonight was at a tapas bar, and it was so yummy. Foie gras, duck proscuitto, and paella!
I also found out that we are right near Edith Wharton's house, so we're definitely going there this weekend. The literary geek in me is quite happy.
Pix, that is such bullshit! This cost $35 to replace.

We've got wafting clouds of pollen going by today. Ugh.

Yep. And ND says he could replace the entire keyboard and inner casing for $300. I will ask them if there is any shot of getting my hands on the laptop for him to see if he can fix it, but I suspect it has been relegated to Apple heaven.
