Hey, Shir! I'm almost done with Someone to Run With ! I really like it, and I wonder if Tamar is your role model, because she is awesome. Look for a review next week, maybe.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Sj, my travel mantra is keys, wallet, phone and meds. Anything else you can figure a workaround.
I am so angry I don't know what to do. I bumped a candle near my school laptop and got wax on the keyboard. It booted fine for me, but IT sent it out since the keyboard was so messed up and they declared it a total loss. I have just been informed that they have decided I should pay the total cost of $1100ish to replace it since it was my negligence. Keep in mind that teachers are on a three year cycle and I was due for a new one in a year. I may not be department chair at the end of the fight I'm about to start.
That is ridiculous, Pix. No way should you have to pay that.
Oh, P-C, glad to read you liked it! As for your question: I think that only reading it as adolescent I thought of Tamar as a role model. Right now, I think she's much more braver than me.
Pix, that's absurd. I wish I could offer an advice. All I have is that you're right. Fight evil, fight it hard.
I ran out of internet but I don't want to get up yet. Hello 2000 posts in Natter!
Uggh, Pix. They should at least amortize (is that the right word?) what you're paying, since you were almost due for a new one.
Hope you have a lovely trip, sj.
Yep. That's the argument I'm going to make.
Oh, P-C, glad to read you liked it
Why wouldn't I like dual, temporally converging narratives? Heh. I know I'm missing a lot, though, because I have no clue what the songs Tamar is singing are most of the time.
And in WTF of my own:
I started something with few friends at Twitter. They didn't answer an urgent email about deadlines for over a week, so I just tweeted a friendly half-joking warning that I'm about to guilt-trip them via the phone if they won't answer soon.
A mutual friend just tweeted back that "darling, I hate to read people reproaching my friends in public, and I'd be happy if you would do it in private in the future".
Ahem. Let us examine the facts.
1. Your friends - who happen to be my friends as well, by the way - haven't answered any private communication to something that honestly, they feel about much more strongly than me for over a week. And that's urgent.
2. Our friends have asked me to take this part of nagging them.
3. You really haven't seen me reproaching, have you?
4. Really, WTF?
I was very polite in my answer, but it took all I had in me not to reply as I just did here.
