Awww, yay for good people wanting to help Sassafras.
Randomly, I suddenly miss sassafras trees, and going to girl scout camp in the summer and plucking their leaves to sniff them, and sometimes having sassafras candy. Something tells me climate change is probably killing them all, or something depressing like that.
In interesting news, today's Seattle Groupon is a service that will digitize onto DVD 1000 of your photos for $30! I'm tempted, but my college photos are in albums, and if I took them out, I'd never manage to get them back in and remember who was who and what was from what! I do have a crapton of post-college pictures...that would be great blackmail material...
I'm so glad to hear Rocky came home after 36 days! I bet Sassy will be found any day now. I realized Monday how many of my friends aren't on Facebook and sent them all emails. A couple have already forwarded to DC area friends and family so that's a few more pairs of eyes keeping a lookout.

What happens at the f2f stays at the f2f!
I'm trying to get some work done, but I have horrible heartburn. I never get stomach problems like this. Rolaids helped for about five minutes, but then the heartburn came back. I tried eating a bagel, figuring the bread might absorb the acid, and it helped a little bit, but not much. Sipping water helps a little. What else is there to try?
Do you have access to ginger ale?
When I'm desperate I rub my tummy in little clockwise circles. What movie is that from?
Today I learned that I lack the agility to step over a child safety gate while carrying a cup of coffee. The resulting pattern on my pants is kinda interesting.
Coke.(the soda, of course, not a speedball.)
I would say crackers, but you kind of tried that.
Do you have access to ginger ale?
Possibly. I'm next door to the student center, and they've usually got lots of different kinds of soda. I think most of the food places there closed already, though -- during the summer, they're just open at lunch.
I'm feeling a bit better now. Not totally, but not feeling like my esophagus is about to explode, either. Time to get back to work and learn about how graph theory can be used to analyze electrical circuits.
Good, cause mine happens at night, so "Put your head up on more pillows" probably wouldn't help.
I eat yogurt a lot and it helps, but I don't think that is a vegan solution.

Similar to the glass of milk that helps with mine - no idea if soy or almond milk would have the same effect.
