Today, spending $500 on car maintenance (blargh). Tomorrow, the art museum in Milwaukee and dinner at a fancy restaurant with my dad and brother. We take one day in September to celebrate my mom's birthday
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I see Rev. Terry Jones has claimed he will never burn the Koran.
My first thought wass, "Not to be outdone, Terry Gilliam and John Cleese say they won't burn the Bible, and Eric Idle wont burn the script from Life of Brian."
Ha! Nice, DCJ.
How's it going with the turbo CPAP?
I had a Dream about Jon Hamm last night. I blame this photo shoot [link]
I cannot believe I missed being at school with Jon Hamm by one lousy year...
Today, I went to the post office, then took a nap, then went to the book store, then sat on my porch reading for a while. Tomorrow will be putting together class notes (trig review -- ugh), cleaning, grocery shopping, and some cooking.
I have been so occupied today. It's been good. I needed some distraction. I made my quilt square for my quilt class, then went to class, to the post office, other errands, came home and made a little wall hanging for a friend. Now I'm gonna get some dinner (and hopefully eat it for a change) and chill for the evening, since I'll probably be up at 5am again. And, if so, I'll go do laundry then.
I read that as "made a square for my guilt class", and was like "is that some kind of therapy thing? Does it work? I could use less guilt sometimes..." :)
After sleeping in until almost 2pm (14 hours of sleep!) I have now gone to Trader Joe's and the coffee shop. I should be gardening (my tiny side yard is ridiculously overgrown), but instead am eating and watching House.

Heh.
I've cleaned, hit the gym, done a load of laundry, and spent far too much time searching out far too little fic featuring Jim Sterling from Leverage. In 15 minutes I'll be heading out to a friend's birthday party. He's a new dad whose daughter is barely a month old, if that, so I don't foresee a wild bacchanal lingering into the wee hours. Not really a problem for me, as I'm a bit weary anyway. And the party gives me a reason to wear some lovely steampunk earrings a friend brought me from Dragoncon.
