Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

In case you were really wondering what kind of feathers are in my hair, the answer is rooster and pheasant. No ducks were posthumously raped in the production of this coif.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hello, duckies! Uh, not the necrophiliac kind.

Happiest of birthdays to Vortex!

I've had quite the productive day today. Training this morning for my work this weekend, which was kind of unneeded but hey. Then I recycled 2 chairs, a bunch of batteries, some scrap metal, and put some stuff in the salvage shed. Then I stopped by my old job, found something they needed, and picked up moving boxes. Back home, ate lunch, and had MY FIRST NOLA INTERVIEW over the phone. It went well - I'm pretty sure I rocked his socks with my knowledge of the web of organizations involved in this initiative (Nora, including TH's org). Go go networking/google-fu! Honestly, I doubt I'll get the job (don't actually want it, TBH), but he explicitly said their company is growing and they'd love to have me on board. So yays. And he specifically complimented my Erin-tailored cover letter and resume.

Buoyed by that experience (I generally *hate* interviews, y'all), I emailed an acquaintance through volunteering who knows the ED of the org that most closely matches my interests, and she's going to forward on my resume to her. WOOT.

Thrive to spite them

The clusterfuck of my COBRA coverage continues.

I got a letter saying I can enroll in BC/BS of FLorida. I contacted them. They said I can't enroll becuase I don't live in Florida.

I called Ceridian back and asked if the money I've sent them could be applied to BC/BS of Vermont. They said no. Only what's listed on the letter.

And if that's not an option I can purcahse private insurance out of my own pocket.

I asked how I can get my money back and --

I can't get my money back because it's already been dispersed to my HMO which won't cover me.

I'm currently on hold trying to find out how this is legal and why if I can't get any services from Ceridian they can take my money.
