Also, Seska? Teh cleavage of the hotness. The Girl is lucky.
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Also, ita, I totally agree with you w/r/t "literally". I don't think I could explain it any better myself, but I got what you were saying.
In the absence of knowing someone's pronoun of choice (zie, hir, or something else) I would think that many transgendered and genderqueer people would prefer a gender neutral (though incorrectly plural) "they" to making assumptions about their gender, based on appearances, or to gender binarism in general.
Man, I read something recently about the fact that you can no longer make the assumption that (to use Burrell's example from way above), "The pregnant woman should talk to her doctor," is correct. Which is true. That is really, really weird.
You are all so sweet. I completely love that you like the pics.
OMG, I am in love with the back of The Girl's dress.
It's amazing, isn't it? She found that dress about a year ago. Just beautiful. Thanks - we're glad we looked happy, as we were certainly feeling it! Also, it's good that the pictures don't reveal a) that I was on so many meds that I was a bit loopy, and b) that The Girl was freezing her bollocks off throughout the outdoor ceremony. She was piously mouthing along with parts of the Hebrew version of the reading (from the book of Ruth). When I commented on this later, she said it was solely to take her mind off the cold!
Teh cleavage of the hotness. The Girl is lucky.
Hah. Hers is actually far better than mine. I just chose the dress particularly well! I used to be rather puritanical about wearing things that didn't show any cleavage at all. I've started realising that, since I've put on a bit of a weight, it's a good feature, and one that I could emphasise a bit more. I've still NEVER worn a dress cut that low. My friends had to spend weeks talking me into wearing it. I keep seeing the photos and going "fuck, that's a low cut dress." But I think it was good!
And, damn, that high rider wheelchair? That thing looks boss. erika needs one of those, so she can have the stature to match her personality and roll all over Phoenix looming menacingly.
Totally. That's my friend Esther's wheelchair. I would be horribly jealous of it, except that I like jumping up and down kerbs in my manual chair, even though you can't reach high shelves in one of those. Esther can actually change the lightbulbs in her house from her chair.
F is hanging on, but she is mostly sleeping all of the time. It's very difficult for all of us to see her that way.
Wishing you all strength, sj. It must be so hard.
How is your father-in-law doing?
He's a bit better today, thanks - staying out of hospital for now. He has an abcess that keeps causing him infections, which is a big worry, but otherwise he's OK. His next goal, having managed to get to our wedding, is to get to The Girl's brother's wedding in Israel next month.
Talking of which, Shir - did I mention I'm in Israel at the beginning of next month?! We're going to be madly busy, and once again I can't really go anywhere or do anything without The Girl's help (can't afford to take a PCA abroad with us) - but I'm sure we can arrange to grab coffee or something, especially if you were able to come over to Tel Aviv...!
Agreeing with everyone on the pics of Seska & Mrs. Girl.

Y'all look absolutely amazing and happy and just wonderful.
Strength and comfort~ma to all of you, sj. And ~ma to Seska's father in law.
did I mention I'm in Israel at the beginning of next month?!
Whoo-hooo! It's a date, baby - I'll come anywhere (though I'd love to show you around Mount Scopus, too).
Edit: not my day with typing.
I have to wait until I get home to look at Seska's pictures (because my work computer is WAY too slow) and it is KILLING me to wait!
Damn allergies. [link]
Fantastic pictures! You both look lovely and so very happy. As is right and proper.
I have new-ish hair.
Instead of taking off 4+ inches as I'd expected we'd do, my lovely stylist convinced me to only take off two inches and add in a lot more layering (which I'd expected to do regardless) and surprise, surprise, my hair, which has been waving slightly for the past few years, revealed itself to have really deep waves and even some curl! Go figure.
