Anya Christina Emmanuella Jenkins. Twenty years old. Born on the fourth of July — and don't think there weren't jokes about that my whole life, mister, 'cause there were. 'Who's our little patriot?' they'd say, when I was younger and therefore smaller and shorter than I am now.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Cats of War: The Pentagon's top-secret feline special-operations program, revealed.

BWAH!!!

Oof. Wish I had realized when packing that this dress really requires a camisole. Thank goodness the shirt I wore on the plane matches it, but I'd rather not be wearing a long sleeve shirt under a dress in 80 degree weather.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Those are beautiful Erin.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

erin, those are gorgeous! We've given away the ones H made through the years as gifts for housewarmings, weddings, or other occasions. His mom has several of his, along with some she has from when they lived in the Ukrainian community in Philadelphia. The ones I managed to hang onto are guarded, carefully. I wish the photos were better, I probably need to work on that. They're here, here, and here.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Erin, those are wonderful! Congratulations on your sale.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Bev- those are gorgeous, and i love how they are displayed. I've been giving them away as gifts for about 20 years now, my mom must have at least 3 dozen! She bought a special glass-topped display coffee table just for all the pysanky :)

Sox, that's good to know. I was worried that my super exciting first sale was just some kind of scam and that made me sad.

And no wooden eggs, the dye that makes them so pretty doesn't work on wood. Or really anything except egg shells. I tried painting for a bit but it's extremely difficult to get that level of precision with bristle brushes

brillig

Speaking of ebay/ecommerce, we have a bunch of 78/old 33 rpm records that I'd like to sell, but I'm very leery of shipping them anywhere. Does anyone know a good way to package such fragile things for best survivability, or would anyone buying such things online expect to pay higher-than-usual shipping costs to cover protection?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Erin-- could you make some eggs with skulls on them? I bet those would sell like hotcakes. Hotcakes with skulls, even.
