Kaylee: You're nice, too. Mal: No, I'm not. I'm a mean old man.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Sending health~ma to the PixDesigns and Get!Spotted~ma to Sass.

Resisting the urge to tell Scrappy: Pics or it didn't happen. Not resisting very well, it seems.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

There's a "Scrappy is wise" joke in there somewhere, but I'm not looking for it.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Sparky, fwiw, I've been talking to the dog people in my neighborhood about Sassy. I've seen some signs in the neighborhood, but I thought maybe the personal touch would help.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

continued ~ma and a question for the moms:

I wanted to send my mom some calla lillies for sunday becase 1) they're pretty 2) they are alleged to be awesome at cleaning indoor air and C) we have an ongoing joke about "boy flowers". Delivered potted plants are EXPENSIVE. Would it be at all rude for me to send her a nice pot and some bulbs? I'm worried because she's not one for gardening or tending to living things (aside from me. plants in her care tend to die because they don't demand water or food) so giving her a "gift" which would require her to pot and water it isn't necessarily the most thoughtful thing in the world.

Hrm, when i put it like that...maybe i'll just stick with the mosquito repellent and really nice tea.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

You totally answered your own question there.

I think that would be a lovely gift for someone who enjoyed such a thing. Not, clearly, your mom.

I have a dental cleaning. And what I am sort of convinced is a chip on the crown I got a few years ago. Commence anxiety attack in 3, 2, 1... Thankfully I sit in the chair and they do a topical numb before they touch me.

Drew, I hope your mom recovers quickly and is released soon.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Best wishes for your mother, Drew.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Sending more ma~~~ for your mom, ND

Today I want gold stars -- I took the cat to the vet - onerous task number one and yes he was a pain in neck but I seem to have gotten over my fear of vet ( too many sick cats)

and then I called the neighbor who wants us to do something about my tree. _onerous task number two - It turns out he is actually quite reasonable he just has concerns about the age of the tree - and where it is , so we are going to get an arborist to look at it - which is quite ok. But I had to be brave.
