I don't care if it is an orgy of death, there's still such a thing as a napkin.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Cash, I'm glad you had such a great time!

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Happy Easter to those who celebrate. I sang in two services starting at 5.30am, with breakfast in between, and am now in bed for the duration. It was fantastic, though, even if I had to explain very patiently that no, I was not well enough to process into the church (in the dark!), which got dull after about the fourth choir member/organist/choir director grilling. Beautiful services though. (Disclaimer: This is a life update not a conversion attempt. Posting nothing more than the traditional Christian Easter greeting, aimed at my Christian friends, on Facebook has made people start demanding answers about hell and salvation from me. And people wonder why I'm quiet about my faith.)

This afternoon I shall be playing with my Kindle, sleeping off the 4.45am start, and re-watching Doctor Who. Happy times. How are the rest of you spending your Easter weekend? Do you get a day off tomorrow, or is that just us jammy bastards?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

No day off for me. The university that I went to for undergrad would sometimes have Good Friday off, but never Easter Monday. For some reason, the usual rule there was that, in any given year, we'd either have both Yom Kippur and Good Friday as days off, or neither. Nobody ever seemed to know how they decided each year.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Happy Easter for those celebrating! Easter Monday is one of the few holidays that TCG does not get off in his job.

We spent yesterday baking, and we're headed to Mom's today.

Some people look for reasons to be offended.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Here we not only get two days off for Easter, but this year it runs into Anzac Day, we we're having a five-day weekend. We had church today. Wallybee was singing, I was looking after the little boy, who was a delight. Very cheerful, taken with all the decorations and lights, and quite happy to stay put.

Tomorrow we're off to the Aquarium. They have king penguins and gentoo penguins; Ryan should get a kick out of seeing them in person, I think. (My sole motive. Honest.)

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Happy Springtime Holiday everyone!

I made so many deviled eggs.

To be fair, the poor girl (not Girl) was actually looking for answers. Alas, I am not the person to provide them.

The Girl is very impressed with Easter. "That's the most joyful that Church of England members ever get," she said.

I made so many deviled eggs.

Ooh! Please to send my way.

There's a great to-do in some circles about how the CofE doesn't allow kissing at the altar during a wedding, ie, the Royal Wedding. Well, great to-do for values re: people who feel the need to have great to-do's about other people's weddings in other people's churches according to other people's faiths.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Congrats on the bout, Cash! Let's have some more details!
