Thrive to spite them

So I'm going to St Albans with a lot less stuff than I planned. A single U Box is not big enough for all I wanted to take and I don't have enough for a second. Not to mention I don't want to spend the money on a second.

But it's okay because it just means finding cool cheap stuff up there.

I also hit up Old Navy buying stuff for layers. St Albans current weather is the equivalent of tallahassee's winter.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I am awesome gumbo- I made gumbo for the first time! With a roux that took like 40 minutes to make! It was really good too- now granted, the audience was my husband and my mother, so not exactly unbiased, but I think it actually was delicious.

I made baked ziti and a salad with apples, blue cheese and almonds. I also made brownies, which are technically for bringing to Mom's tomorrow, but we had some anyway.
