Love isn't brains, children, it's blood, blood screaming inside you to work its will.

Spike ,'Sleeper'

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I've just had more practice with the arcane dialect of Resume.

And it is so true that the language of the Resume is very different from plain, ordinary English. Most of us whose first (or only) language is English are not fluent in Resume - which is why there are so many books and businesses to help us translate.

Morocco! Yay!

If you go to Rabat, wave in the direction of the old city of Salee for me, for my ancestor Murat Reis, the pirate who sailed from there.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Dude, Morocco! That's fabulous. What a great birthday present!

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I've just had more practice with the arcane dialect of Resume.

And I'm very grateful for that.

ION - the moment had come. And by "the moment", I mean "telling my history lecturer of American South 1820-1920 about Firefly". She sounded excited. Three seconds after it, she stopped and went "wait. Are you the one who started the Lovecraft discussion previously?".

I haven't, but I participated in it, yes.

Oh, you guys. I'm eager to hear back from the Montreal Opportunity. I kindda hate to say it, but it filled me with happiness to think of getting away from here for a while. Watching your country losing every shred of morality, and living in a place without a legacy of war for a while... yeah, I'll take the cold for that.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

wait ... Shir, are you in the U.S. or ....?

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Still in Israel. Still in the university. Still taking the awesome class of American history, which fills huge gaps in my education.

Unless you were funny about it, which my tiredness could have prevent me from seeing.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Watching your country losing every shred of morality, and living in a place without a legacy of war for a while

wait ... Shir, are you in the U.S. or ....?

Yeah, Toddson, that was my first thought too. Sadly.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

We watched Justice at Nuremberg in one of my classes today.

I'm pretty much still horrified from how too similar it is to some aspects of Israeli popular thought. "It's OK to think X, because we're Jews".

No. It's not.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Bitches--Teppy's cool shirt link made me wonder what places you recommend for shopping online for clothes? What are some lesser-known sites I should check out? In return I offer up Duluth Trading Company [link] which is GREAT for jeans, t-shirts and the like. The shirts are cut long, so they are terrific for active stuff--I wear the zip-up hoodie shirt for Pilates and people always want to know where I got it.
