Oh, Pacey! You blind idiot. Can't you see she doesn't love you?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Daniel and Lindsay is golden.

That just made my day. I feel like I can face my students now, no matter what spelling errors I encounter.

There was at least one there that seemed restrained rather than obnoxious. And, why is it considered more obnoxious to point out bad spelling than it is to broadcast bad spelling to the world?

Because no one becomes a better speller because you point it out to them? Because it usually only serves to indicate you know the right answer, because they clearly don't care what the right answer is, or they'd have paid attention to the red squiggly lines in their text entry box.

Generally you know who's open to typo correction. Those people? Not it. That's just an exercise in appearing smarter than thou.

I finally got my new contract for next year. Same salary as this year, because there's a university-wide salary freeze, but it's official now. Well, I've signed it, and I will bring it down to the office in a few minutes, once my office hours are over.

You have a point, ita. And what I said was really obnoxious to those of us for whom spelling just does not come easy. I'm sorry. I know it isn't a matter of laziness or not caring. It was rather ass-hat-ish of me to say it.

What a relief, Hil. I know that has been a big worry for a while now.
