Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Happy birthday, Spidra!

Continued ~ma to Drew, bonny, lisah's person, and any others that I know I'm forgetting.

Thanks for the compliments on baby's pics. He is adorable, but continues to fight the sleep. Mamas are bone weary.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

health~ma for bonny and lisah's bro.

Drew, fucking OUCH may it help you heal and thus be worth the pain.

Aims, fuck; way to yank the rug out from under you guys. You haven't even been there all that long! Good ~ma for resolving this situation quickly.

Happy Birthday, Spidra!

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

WindSparrow, I read your reply but I'll have to answer it later.

Right now I'm crushing to bed, at nine pm. Seems like I caught something from my dad, who felt sick the past 48 hours. So I'm high on drugs, and I guess that the drunk chocolate mousse I had earlier really really helps to kick in the high feeling. Plus side: I like it. Down side: very sleepy.

I wonder how this post would look like tomorrow morning.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Happy birthday, Spidra!

Aims, I second Plei's vote of Seattle. Move to Seattle!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

MI to Chicago also has its adherents.

This is very true.

Nobody's silly enough to move back to one of the most depressed states in the union, though. Pfft, that'd be nuts.

Unfortunately, this is also true for Illinois.

I just (a) joined Angies List and (b) booked a plumber to come find out why the tub is leaking through the floor. Ack. I start to feel like an adult. But fear I will feel Moreso when the bill comes.

Also: how do I convince my parents not to stay with me when they visit in two weeks?? I never thought they would ( in DC they had friends they stayed with) and suddenly they're all saying so, an I'm like "er, the air mattress won't hold you both?" and mom says "dad can have that, and you have a couch, right?" OMG. I knew they were cheap, but geez. Otoh, I can't really afford to put them up in a hotel, because of the plumber and the car I need to get fixed, etc.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Happy birthday, Spidra!

So, it's reasonable if I'll apply for a student job in the library of my university to have at least of year of experience for my resume, even if it won't pay as much as other jobs I might be able to get?

Shir, it sounds very reasonable to me, at least in the long run. Unless you really need a higher-paying job right now, I'd say go for it! More Buffista librarians, yay!

Continued ~ma for all who need it: health~ma to Drew, bonny, and lisah's friend's brother, job~ma to Aims, and general good wishes all around.

Glamcookie, you've got one seriously adorable kidlet there! I *love* the blanket photo. Cute baby pictures: I likes them.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

how do I convince my parents not to stay with me when they visit in two weeks??

ooh that's a tough one. Do either of them have pet allergies? You could have forgotten that you offered to pet sit for a friend during that time... but then you probably need to find a pet to borrow to keep up the facade.

Sign you are getting old: You do a search for safety glasses with magnification. Soldering tiny wires is not as easy as it used to be. :: sigh ::

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yep, I need bifocals. Currently I have to use a magnifying glass (with light) for soldering.
