Emeline and I went to a new church this morning. I made my first impression by falling down the stairs in the front lobby, so that was great. @@ It was really nice and everyone very welcoming. We were given a loaf of freshly baked bread (Joe asked me when we got home why no fishes?). We have a lot of friends there and Em had lots of people she knew in the Sunday school - she even got to be Peter in their "play". I'm not sure yet if it's our church, but I liked it enough that we'll be going back. It felt a little too ... modern for my church tendencies, but the community part of it is what is important to me and that was just fantastic.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Taking care of business -- good plan. I am attacking the paperwork that is drowning us.
I am taking care of my lounging on the couch business. Gotta get over to Langenstein's today though.
Emeline and I are heading up to Lansing to visit our cousins and to get our eat on - shrimp, crab, and lobster paella. NOM NOM NOM. Joe is filming. The good works are never done.
I've put one load of dishes in the dishwasher. I'll probably need to put another load through when this one is done. Also paid some bills. Next step should be laundry, I think.
Doc says not strep. Gave me a perscpction for a z PAC anyway. Lots of " stuff" to use the medical term . Bedtime
Today, we are going out for brunch, then putting all the furniture back in our newly-stained backyard!!!!! It looks all terracotta-ish and I can't wait to see how it will look with all the potted plants back!
Afterwards, I am going to go through my clothes and try to figure out a better way to store them.

Me too! That and the very difficult business of reading the Sunday papers.
Scrappy, be sure to take pictures of your new backyard when you get the chance. It sounds lovely.
Pics when you get through, Scrappy! I love people's yards! That was the plan for this weekend, but the plan did not include 40mph straightline winds.
I did take the dog outside and brush him, though, because the fur is instantly gone. I wouldn't do that if it went into the neighbor's yard, but since there are only five occupied houses in a two-mile stretch, I'm pretty sure it's not annoying to anyone.
I am still pretty furry, though, so I need to implement the getting out of my pj's portion of my plan stat.

I've scrubbed the tub, taken a shower, put the THREE shower curtains in the washing machine with a load of rags, scooped the litter pans and taken out the trash, cleaned the kitchen sink and counters, and now I'm taking a lunch break. After lunch, I'll rehang the shower curtains, start the dishwasher, make sure I have what I need for errands and work, and get out the door! I need to put in four hours of work today.
Scrappy, there will be peektures, yes? It sounds fab.
Aims, glad you found a church to try out, and hey - at least they'll remember you?
