Oh, I wish those council guys would let me have an hour alone in the room with her, if I was larger and had grenades.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

sj, I would love if you sent me info on arm exercises. Thank you!

Sure! I'll send it Tuesday after I get back from my too early PT appointment.

Pix, I hope you were able to get some sleep and are feeling better today.

Beth, I hope you feel better soon as well.

Do you think my mother would notice if I stole the mattress from the guest bedroom? Best.sleep.ever.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I am afraid it might be , so I am trying to declare it not so

OIC. Well, this time of year, it's probably allergies or something having its wicked way with your throat. I know this because I never have colds, just allergies.

“Not dead yet!”

Dear Universe:

beth does not have strep.

Pix has gotten to sleep (as well as pain relief)

All buffistas who wish have lost at least five pounds overnight. (Hey, if I'm chatting up the Universe, might as well ask, right?)

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm watching "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," and once again marveling at how a single show can simultaneously get so much right and so much wrong. Even just in terms of the interior design -- they've got accessible design in the kitchens and bathrooms and put actual thought into figuring out how people with different disabilities interact with their surroundings and how to create the right environments for them, but at the same time, the kids' rooms are always those annoying theme rooms that any kid would get tired of within a few months. Or, worse, built-in toddler-sized furniture that's going to be a pain to replace when the kid is no longer toddler-sized.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hope you're feeling better, Pix and Beth.

I have declared it to be Taking Care of Business Day, with an associated goal of Loving My Life. So far I've made the bed, cooked and eaten brunch, emptied and reloaded the dishwasher, put away clothes, cleaned the bathroom sink and toilet, checked my bank balance, and made (big) payments on my two credit cards. Next up - shower, clean kitchen counter and sink, start dishwasher and laundry, and take Frankie to run errands and work at a coffee shop. And I'm gonna look cute doing it. WHAPOW. Take that, depression.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Okay! I will observe Taking Care of Business Day with an effect of Loving My Life! Depression (situational, in my case, but there's a damn lot of situation) can go take a running leap. Or can go walk around, in the passive culture Navajo idiom.

I have started with pancakes and eggs. I will also look cute doing my Bizniz, which will involve not staying in my pajamas all day EVEN THOUGH I COULD.

Thanks, smonster!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Emeline and I went to a new church this morning. I made my first impression by falling down the stairs in the front lobby, so that was great. @@ It was really nice and everyone very welcoming. We were given a loaf of freshly baked bread (Joe asked me when we got home why no fishes?). We have a lot of friends there and Em had lots of people she knew in the Sunday school - she even got to be Peter in their "play". I'm not sure yet if it's our church, but I liked it enough that we'll be going back. It felt a little too ... modern for my church tendencies, but the community part of it is what is important to me and that was just fantastic.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Taking care of business -- good plan. I am attacking the paperwork that is drowning us.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I am taking care of my lounging on the couch business. Gotta get over to Langenstein's today though.
