Well, I'm up, because I'm at work, and I had to drive through A BLOWING SNOW BLIZZARD (which is redundant, but) IT'S APRIL 3RD! SPRING FOR REAL AND FOR TRUE! WHY WAS THERE THREE INCHES OF SNOW ON MY CAR THIS MORNING!
Oh, yeah, mountains.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh, Pix, I hope you got some sleep eventually.

Around here, it's "Oh, yeah, Minnesota." Or, as I was wont to filk when I lived in Ohio, "I'm dreaming of a white Memorial Day..."
I do not have strep throat
I don't know whether to congratulate you or not, beth. I'm glad you don't have to worry about spreading strep around, but not glad that you are feeling so crappy that it was a possibility.
sj, I would love if you sent me info on arm exercises. Thank you!
Sure! I'll send it Tuesday after I get back from my too early PT appointment.
Pix, I hope you were able to get some sleep and are feeling better today.
Beth, I hope you feel better soon as well.
Do you think my mother would notice if I stole the mattress from the guest bedroom? Best.sleep.ever.
I am afraid it might be , so I am trying to declare it not so

OIC. Well, this time of year, it's probably allergies or something having its wicked way with your throat. I know this because I never have colds, just allergies.
Dear Universe:
beth does not have strep.
Pix has gotten to sleep (as well as pain relief)
All buffistas who wish have lost at least five pounds overnight. (Hey, if I'm chatting up the Universe, might as well ask, right?)
I'm watching "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," and once again marveling at how a single show can simultaneously get so much right and so much wrong. Even just in terms of the interior design -- they've got accessible design in the kitchens and bathrooms and put actual thought into figuring out how people with different disabilities interact with their surroundings and how to create the right environments for them, but at the same time, the kids' rooms are always those annoying theme rooms that any kid would get tired of within a few months. Or, worse, built-in toddler-sized furniture that's going to be a pain to replace when the kid is no longer toddler-sized.
Hope you're feeling better, Pix and Beth.
I have declared it to be Taking Care of Business Day, with an associated goal of Loving My Life. So far I've made the bed, cooked and eaten brunch, emptied and reloaded the dishwasher, put away clothes, cleaned the bathroom sink and toilet, checked my bank balance, and made (big) payments on my two credit cards. Next up - shower, clean kitchen counter and sink, start dishwasher and laundry, and take Frankie to run errands and work at a coffee shop. And I'm gonna look cute doing it. WHAPOW. Take that, depression.
