Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

if something is published in La Défense cedex, France, I gather that La Défense muncipality that is a suburb of France, and cedex is a particular mall or something? Or is the full name "La Défense cedex", the way Kansas City in the U.S. is "Kansas City" and not just "Kansas"?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

The town is La Défense -- CEDEX is part of the mailing address (specifically, it's kinda like a high-volume mail drop that gets special handling in the postal code system: [link] ). If you're addressing mail, include CEDEX, all caps. If you're just talking about the place in human language, skip it.

Where is Jilli?

Staring at a tumblr that is kind like what would have happened if I had been able to have a tumblr when I was thirteen.

This is more steampunky than gothy, but I thought of you when I saw it.

Oooh, pretty!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Jilli, do you have any links to pictures/recommendations for how a gentleman who generally wears black jeans and a black button-down and black cowboy boots can goth it up?

These are the people organizing the party for this weekend, which makes me wonder why they picked that dress code, but anyway. I realized I have access to resources they can only marvel at.

So he dresses like Johnny Cash? He's pretty much good to go, then. If he wants to get really fancy, he can add a studded belt, and some big silver pendants.

If you do end up asking them why they picked this dress code, I would be very interested in the answer.
