Jilli, do you have any links to pictures/recommendations for how a gentleman who generally wears black jeans and a black button-down and black cowboy boots can goth it up?
So he dresses like Johnny Cash? He's pretty much good to go, then. If he wants to get really fancy, he can add a studded belt, and some big silver pendants.
These are the people organizing the party for this weekend, which makes me wonder why they picked that dress code, but anyway. I realized I have access to resources they can only marvel at.
If you do end up asking them why they picked this dress code, I would be very interested in the answer.

Yeah. He can actually pull it off, partly because he's a low-key unassuming guy who isn't all "Dig me, I'm the Man in Black!"

Perfect. He'll be thrilled to not need to go thrifting for a frock coat.

Oh, I'm sure I'll ask, because I'm dying to know, too.
Blargh. I just worked an 11-hour day. Now I want pad thai and I have none. There are several Thai places near the university, but none of them deliver to the town where I live. And the reason I had to stay late today was because my students had an evening exam. (I also had to come in early this morning because one of my students wanted to go over some questions, and that was the time she had free.) So that means that tomorrow will be yet another long day of grading.

Honey, you're doing it wrong. It's about when YOU have time free, not them.
Erin, that's good news. Continued~ma for the entire family.
Boo hiss on painful and/or long days for Bitches. We all need a break.
Steph, I just don't even know what to say to that email. I wish cluesticking didn't have to be done in person to be effective. Girly parts~ma for you as well.
Hil, Vortex is wise. Don't let them walk all over you.
And because I keep forgetting, but it still deserves congratulations.... Pix, I'm so proud of you. Congrats on becoming department chair!
smonster, how are you feeling? I don't want to wake you in the morn if you're not going to work.
Step aWAY from WebMD. That site never brings me anything by paranoia and near-hypochondriac levels of anxiety.
Remember what I said about cats snuggling up on top of each other's noses? Sammie is pretty much lying on Harvey's head (and not in the fun, Monty Python way). He's still breathing but I'm not entirely certain that Sammie doesn't want to smother him. He's always pushing her out of her warm spot to take it himself.
Sadly, Sammie just discovered that lying on top of Harvey's head just gives him easier access for biting her belly.

That's not sad; that's justice. Take that, smotherator.
