I loved that job. My girls still keep in touch; I met with one a couple of weeks ago; she's in college, and wanted advice on how to run her Hispanic Student Association.
I fucked that job up myself, though, with my depression and my health problems. I own that. I'd go back in a hot second.
ETA: I did send in a resume and writing sample to be a content writer at Shmoop, though, so if any SanFran peeps are BFF's with anyone who works there, please tell them they should hire me to write snarky yet intellectual study guides for literature. I will bake you cookies and send you liquor!
Don't know if you are hugger Erin, so just good wishes for everything working out.
What the heck, cat? Sammie just got up on my desk, purred prettily at me, and started chewing on a silver and lapis lazuli cuff bracelet. Oh, and now I'm chasing her out from behind the entertainment center because she's acting like a cat who wants to chew on wires. Somebody's got an oral fixation.
I know you've all been wondering, so here's a quick Ryan update. I have discovered this weekend that my son has Opinions. One such opinion is that baseball caps are only to be worn the right way around. If I put my cap on backwards (to take a photo, say), he will not rest until he's removed it and set it back to rights on Daddy's head. he has the courage of his convictions, this one. (Or, if his mother is to be believed, OCD. Tomayto, tomahto.)
Go, opinion-having Ryan. Don't let your dad get away with being sloppy.
I'm sorry, Erin. That sounds incredibly disheartening.
I say courage of his convictions. Set dad straight, Ryan.
It's only right. I have a bit of a backlog of Ryan photos here, but here are a few from Christmas-time: [link]
Note, in the last photo, the DVD on the table behind him: [link]
Oh, bt, thank you for posting pics of Ryan. His cuteness is the fix for a lot of sad.
Some more photos, from our Christmas vacation. We spent a couple of days by the beach at the Mornington Peninsula. [link]
Jilli post: there was a sand sculpture exhibition there (an annual event; there are pics from last year's effort here: [link] ). This year's theme was creepy-crawlies. No unsavoury creepy-crawlies have been uploaded in this set; instead, here's one that appears to be inspired by Nightmare Before Christmas: [link]
