Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

'Get It Done'

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

You know what's nice about Spring in these northerly places? That's when sunbeams become warm enough to be of interest to the feline population of the household. Harvey is totally bogarting the nice patch of sun on the living room floor, sitting upright, basking, with his eyes shut, just breathing.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Hil, feel better. The weird ups and downs of the weather are reminding me of where all of my aches and pains are.

I went to PT this morning, and TCG is currently at a day long conference for work. Not our funnest Saturday ever, but I'm currently waiting for him to come home so that we can find some zeppole for St Joseph's Day, which will hopefully be much more fun.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Just spent an hour digging up what will be a flower bed. Yanking out weeds is surprisingly therapeutic.

Also, using my mom's old tools. That made me happy. I'm planting daffodils and irises, which she liked. I planted some of her lilies here last year, and they're already starting to come up.

Sounds lovely, Zenkitty.

Nice, Zenkitty.

Hey, I just updated my resume and I think it needs serious pruning. It's over three pages. Anyone up for taking a look?

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Yay for re-bedding mom's flowers. What a perfectly lovely symbol of rebirth, growth, and the flowering of hope. I got a big delivery of dirt yesterday (friend's parents were in town with the tacoma so we took advantage of the "haul your own" mega discount - $20 for a truckload of 4way topsoil, compost, mulch and sand!) so my new mini beds (recycled deep drawers) are full and the dents in my front yard from the new sewer and waters lines are all filled in with some leftover for enriching. Imma gonna plant so many pretty bulbs this fall!!!!

Ye gods how i love repurposed drawers for mini raised beds. they are perfect for sprawling squashes (cuz the vines can totally sprawl on the concrete, not taking up valuable dirt real estate, making the fruits easier to pluck) and super easy to turn/till/add compost....plus they are just light enough to drag if for some reason i wanted to. which i don't. I need to hit the liquor store, see if they have some of those wooden champagne boxes for greens. i love growing my own veggies!
