Hil, can you use a wine bottle for a rolling pin?
The dude's website (mademillionaire.org) doesn't seem to exist. Plus, calling your employees "crybabies" is not a turn on for me. I'm odd like that.
I'm in Charlotte airport at the Chili's. Had a craving for the Southwestern eggrolls.
There is a place a block from my Doc's office with killer Hamentaschen but I didn't have a chance to go when I was down there today.
Fortunately, they always carry it, so I'll get some post-Purim cookies when I'm back in a few weeks.
OTOH, my Chili's waiter can call me any time. Getting into a competition with your roommate over who can make the best sandwiches to donate to homeless people? Way more up my alley.
eta no pun intended
How did things go at the doctor's today, Trudy?
Thanks for the ~ma. Just got back to my sister's house. Mom has fluid in both of her lungs and her legs are all puffy, and there is the a-fib thing going on. They gave her a bunch of tests and a bunch of drugs. The cardiologist reports that her echo shows her heart is in great shape and says that the a-fib is not at all unusual considering her age and the lung issues, and best yet, totally controllable.
So heparin, and coumadin, digoxin, and anti-biotics have been administered and she should get better.
I'll send some ma momward~~~~
allergies suck and the weather is very volatile around here. tornado warnings, thunderstorms, etc my head is way too good at being a barometer

Ugh. You are playing my song. The Benadryl has helped with the wanna-be migraine -- it makes it retreat, but hasn't managed to make it stay away once the drugs wear off. I am SO hopped up on migraine goofballs right now I fully expect the purple-spotted elephant floating next to me to start talking ANY TIME NOW.

Pretty well, thank you! The stitches are out and tomorrow I bathe! The swelling is down nicely. I'm in the surgical gladiator-style shoes for one more week and then I get to start wearing sneakers.
The doc agrees with using a cane for a while as much for keeping people from getting too close to my feet and getting seats on the subway as for the support. They will tire easily for a while yet and sitting is something I'll want to do frequently.
Laura, I am SO relieved to hear about your mother!
I'm glad you are recouperating well, Trudy.
And Laura, I am so glad that the word on your mom is all treatable.
