Spike? It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding on to false hope, but…I knew you'd come back. You're like…you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Oh…he's alive Frodo. He's alive.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I pretty frequently eat Greek yogurt with honey for breakfast. The other day I found a jar of maple cream in the cabinet... aw yeah.

Oh, hell yeah. That sounds dee-lish.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I am looking forward to seeing Bindlestaff Chimneysweep as the Monster.

Whoo! We expect full details.

Compassionately intolerant

Thanks Zen.

I've got hulu running in the background while I do other stuff. The commercials are all for Zyrtec liquigels. This, with your endorsement, must be a sign.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Hmm. Everyone on my side of the hallway has left for the day. I could sneak out early and pick up my dry cleaning before the theatre. Hmmm.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Just had lunch with a friend who's going to be here in PA next year. I still have no idea if I'll be here, but I did find out that her department is kind of desperate for someone to replace her, and she can put in a good word for me if my contract here isn't renewed, so that's something.

Sounds good, Hil--where is she now?

I just talked to a boss (not mine, she's on vacation) about whether I could take next week off, since they canceled everything. She said sure...then called me back a few minutes later to see if I wanted to go work in South America again, instead of taking vacation. Boss' boss is now checking if they need/want me and where. Could be interesting...

Hil, my university, which is something of a carbon copy of yours, has responded to the financial crisis by choosing not to replace retiring tenured faculty and increasing the number of people on contracts, who actually make a profit for the institution. So everyone who teaches undergrads was renewed for the next year. Hopefully it will be the same at your school.

Neil Simon's Plaza Suite. Looking forward to it. Nice tiny regional group. 140 seat room. Should be fun.

Allergy sufferers need acupuncture. Relief without drugs. Yay!
