Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Tea:

TCG seems to have caught my stomach ick. And while I feel awful that he caught it, I also selfishly feel better to know that I really was sick Thursday and Friday and not just being lazy.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I just got my latest cholesterol results. Ugh. Way too high. The test results came with a letter from the doctor telling me to change my exercise habits and diet. While I could exercise more, I would really like to know what dietary cholesterol he'd like me to cut out. I'm going to call him tomorrow, because a letter that just says "change diet" is not very helpful, and I really think we need to adjust my medication.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Many wishes for ways to remember D, sj. I'm with the people above who've said to do something personal or private, even if it's not 'official'.

Very, very much ongoing ~ma, Teppy.

Bachelorette party at Fortnum and Masons sounds like a lot of fun, Seska.

It should indeed be. Now that I've chosen the people I want there, anyway!

LOL, now my 14 yo sister who has only watched S1 and S2 of Buffy (plus a few random episodes here and there, including Willow attempting to destroy the world only to be foiled by Xander love and the yellow crayon) is trying to get me to spill every spoiler ever.

Heh. It's not like she has to wait months or years to find out, like the rest of us did!

I hope that your sweetheart's heart is unburdened in a similar way. Perhaps it doesn't feel that way now, but in the end, that would be my prayer for her.

bonny, thanks for those thoughts. It really helps. I want that for my Girl too. I keep feeling that she deserves so much better. I'm just hoping she ends up with, if not the situation she deserves, then at least a much better situation with her family. You, too, sound like you deserved much better.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Sheesh Hil, you've already eliminated all the major sources of cholesterol (i.e. animal products), what other kind of "diet change" is supposed to help? (Aside from copious quanities of oatmeal and cheerios)

A few years ago, a doctor sent me a letter telling me to reduce my intake of red meat and dairy products. It's like, at least make an effort to pretend you're not just sending a form letter. This one kind of puzzles me with its advice to "change diet" and absolutely no suggestions of what changes to make.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Unless you are loading up on palm oil and coconut milk and such, either directly or in the better tasting vegan cheeses and so forth, can't imagine what you could do better in your diet.

is this the same Dr who was so understanding of your exercise limitations?

Our wings are not tired

Steph is there a possibility that without his cell phone he doesn't have your phone number available? It has hit me a few times that without my phone I have very few numbers committed to memory any more.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Smonster, I'm sorry if I was insensitive to you or anyone else with what I posted earlier. I have never known anyone who committed suicide before.

No, you absolutely weren't. I just needed to share or something, it's what I do.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

When he was sentenced, he asked an officer (or guard?), who was VERY nice to do so, to go out to his car and get this cell phone so he could copy down Tim's number to call him and let him know he had to serve 5 days. So he had it, because he called Tim Thursday after he was sentenced. It's possible he threw it away afterward, in which case my sympathy is again evaporating quickly.
