Hmm. If *I* were going to something labeled "Victorian French Budoir"...OK, I'd probably actually wear jeans and a shirt, because I've been pretty boring lately. But I might instead see if I could buy/borrow a pair of bloomers, and wear them with the tux-front (ruffly with buttons) white bustier I own. If no bloomers, probably stockings and a petticoat, though I don't think that would go as well with the bustier, so I might go more with the pinstripe underbust corset and something fluffy as a shirt.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Bloomers, stockings, corset of some sort, some sort of ruffly, low-cut top.
I would feel hideously inadequate I'm afraid. But I agree bloomers and a corset sound like a fine start. Plus a big poufy, Gibson girl bun.
This is fun. Where's Plei? Or Jilli? Shouldn't their Spidey-sense be tingling?
Cashmere, I was on that site! I was looking at this as well: [link]
I have this black petticoat and it is totally cute as HELL on me: [link]
I think I need that petticoat for derby.
It REALLY is cute. I don't have any pictures of it on me, but it tends to create a cheerleader-of-the-damned effect. Which I dig.
Those black bloomers with bows look pretty bitchin', too. Might have to order a pair.
I shall meara rather quickly, as I am on valium for a small procedure today and it's about to kick in.
Congrats on being on the research team, Shir! Although I am not in the least bit surprised, as I've always said you're a genius. It's nice to be being proved right. (Did you receive the wedding invite? Reply, genius.)
I WANNA GO TO AN F2F, DAMMIT!!!
This. One day I'll find a way to cross that annoying body of water that gets in the way.
Having been teaching a course in feminism and society for the past half-semester, I'm too tired to contribute to the gender discussions. Interesting, though. (It's been great teaching it to a mix of male and female students, most of whom are only about 19.)
