Interesting, in the debate about politicians and pretty. Geraldine Ferraro was far more accomplished than Sarah Palin. But guess who got far and away more press for being a VP candidate?
And I think next year is an East Coast year for the F2F, so it could work out really well for seeing people.
Next year is West Coast! Not that I have Plans or anything.

I like being a woman because there are less limits, including the ability to say i can't deal with something or don't know to do something.
The biggest disadvantages to men - -other than height -- seems to be that it is harder to be invisible when it would be handy . DH sometimes misses the east coast suit world because a room full of suits is camoflouge ( i can't that word) even if you are taller or shorter.
West Coast, then. Which is still fun! Hee. I remember the LA F2F. That was a good time. SUSHI.

Okay, y'all. If you were going to an event called The Secret Cabaret (which is not actually secret, being held at a local bar, and being, you know, publicized), and which is described thusly:
Queen City Cabaret is ready to roll out an intimate evening of decadence, magic, sideshow, and folly with special guests Cirqueairotic burlesque troupe.
Costumes are encouraged, but no pressure. The theme of The Secret Cabaret is "Victorian French Boudoir" and prizes will be given for best outfits.

Hmm. If *I* were going to something labeled "Victorian French Budoir"...OK, I'd probably actually wear jeans and a shirt, because I've been pretty boring lately. But I might instead see if I could buy/borrow a pair of bloomers, and wear them with the tux-front (ruffly with buttons) white bustier I own. If no bloomers, probably stockings and a petticoat, though I don't think that would go as well with the bustier, so I might go more with the pinstripe underbust corset and something fluffy as a shirt.
