[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

and re-read the latest email explaining why the Tim Burton & Danny Elfman box set has been delayed until APRIL.

Is it because they haven't finished making a custom made pink and black corset to include for you?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Speaking of delays, my fucking Dread Pirate Roberts sword has been delayed like unto six months now, and that's why I'm not spending the dosh on the Inigo Montoya one. The company's been real crap at keeping tabs on the delays too.

Ha, no. It's because they did not take into account the Chinese New Year when they sent the zoetrope music box to manufacturing.

However, the Infamous BlueJay just told me to buy the damn corset, happy unbirthday. I am a little astonished, but know better than to argue with her.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Aw, yay! Go Infamous Bluejay.

yay! total Jilliwear.

And smonster, I definitely vote for the bottle green, because I totally want that one. :)

Though I fail to understand why they have them in like, EVERY COLOR, and only have two brown ones on the whole site (though I do like that "designer" brown one someone linked to upthread). I would love to get a basic plain brown one...but noooo. You'd think with steampunk being all the rage they'd have them!

Dear lady who gave me my flu shot at CVS a month ago - we had a lovely chat about the importance of flu vaccines. You seemed very nice. Too bad you hit my freaking TENDON instead of the muscle - I still have trouble moving my arm a month later and since I work construction, that's kind of a problem. No love, me.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Is it pointless to watch Torchwood on DVD if I've never seen Dr. Who?Like, is there important backstory I need? Such as why in the hell does Captain Jack Hotass have a hand in a jar that's super important to him?

I've picked up a good amount of info about the show just from being on LiveJournal and reading stuff, but it occurred to me that maybe I'm being silly and should watch Dr. Who first.

Thoughts?

Now tagless for your comfort.

You can enjoy it without Doctor Who, Teppy. The hand in the jar is an example of neat back story stuff but it's not vital to the plots of Torchwood.

I think you can Steph.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Steph, I watched Torchwood with pleasure without watching Dr. Who.

I did go on-line and hunt up a bit of backstory for a couple of shows, but the info just added to the story; I didn't NEED it.
