I'll bet you are looking forward more to being home than flying home.
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
children who were badly or inadequately parented have to learn to parent themselves. To repattern those bad patterns.
Cordelia was right, "Spank your inner moppet," or comfort, bolster, support her, help her or him become a functioning adult. And if at all possible, remove contempt for anyone from the equation. Justified, directed, purposeful anger is useful. Contempt is not.
Beverly, you could totally do my job.
Wow Bonny. I can totally see how you make a good life coach. (Not that I haven't seen examples before. But this is just such a distillation of your ability to handle stuff.)
Thank you so much for the kind works, Typo. I feel pretty blessed.
I'll bet you are looking forward more to being home than flying home.
This is true. I get a whole week and a half at home before my next flight.
Dear Powers That Be, I have been really, really good in the face of some awful stuff. If you would make that cute pink & black corset Steph linked to magically appear in my mailbox, I would be very thankful. Pretty please?
All this talk of probiotics reminded me that I need to take mine today, so thank you!
Oh my god THEY HAVE A CHERRY CORSET
You really are obliged to get that.
Hey Calli, maybe we could work a deal on corsets. I'm sure I can find two...
Mmmmm, it is tempting, smonster. But I'm kinda holding off on impulse spending until I see if what happens to my job after next week.
bless my mother's sweet heart. She's on a church (methodist) trip in Isreal and communicating solely via text msg. She keep saying she's never texted before, tho that is mostly how we communicated in Canada 2 years ago. Her texting seems to already be more advanced than mine. Today i get a msg ending with "Saw a nice Jerusalem X I'd lik 2 get u, wud u lik 1?"
Is she threatening to buy me a cross? Is that normal?
erin - yes, I'm pretty sure that's exactly what she's texting. Jerusalem crosses are a little different design: [link] so not your traditional cross. And yeah, if she's on a church trip, that's fairly normal. My Grandmother In Law (who is kick-ass awesome) still wears hers from her church trip/pilgrimage.
I just lost (by which I mean misplaced for less than an hour but megastressy) my wallet for the second time in fourteen hours.
Last night was in PDX airport after landing and trying to buy some tote bags for my stepmom (she liked the one I picked up on my way out of town and wanted a few for a charity she helps out). It was in the sleeve I use for my tablet. Which I'd set aside and I am so glad it wasn't stolen.;l.
This time I was at Safeway's checkout when I realized. And had only left it at home.
But, wow, time for me to do NOTHING outside the house tomorrow. Maybe my brain will come home if I stay put.
