Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

There was - briefly - snow where I live and I was putting sunscreen - spf 85 because no one remembered to turn down the sun here - where I was. I felt a total disconnect. Really, let's meet in the middle. Nothing freezes and my skin doesn't start smoking when I walk outside....

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

We were up to about 65 last Friday, and now, 16. Forecast says a low of 7 tomorrow.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Thank you for that giggle, Cass.

Thanks, Andi. Has Daniel made it home?

Ugh, Hil. That's just not fair.

No. He called me from a gas station at an exit that's roughly thirty minutes from here in good weather. It was 10:00pm when he called, it's been an hour and twenty-five minutes. He said road conditions were slippery, ...

Wait, I think I hear a vehicle pulling up. I don't want to look out a window, because if it's in the next driveway, I will freak the fuck out.

Sniff sniff. Damn allergies. Yeah, when I knew for sure it was Daniel in the driveway, the stress and worry of the last day or two kinda welled up. I'm so glad he's home safe, and I'm so glad that I didn't have to feel all alone while he wasn't here. Thanks, everyone.

I just went to the doctor about my cholesterol and associated stuff. He asked me how much I exercise, I said not much, he said that it would help, and then asked me what kinds of exercise I can do without hurting my joints. I think this is the first time this conversation has ever gone this way. Usually, after I say I don't exercise much, the doctor tells me to do something like start jogging or do yoga or some other thing that I know will kill my joints, and then gives me thing "You can't keep making excuses" speech when I say that I can't do those things. This doctor not only asked me what I can do, he listened to my answer and continued the conversation based on what I had actually said.
