'Get It Done'

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Ann, that's a ferret.

((((Tep and family))))

Treatable~ma for Mickey.

Peace~ma for Ginger's family.

beth, for what it's worth -- Try yelping like a distressed kitten when your cat nips. Coco tends to use his teeth and claws -- hard -- when he's had enough of being petted. I tried the yelping, and while he still uses teeth and claws, he's more gentle about it now.

not your mom's socks.

What are they doing there, Sox?

The big gas main dig last summer involved a lot of jack hammering, so they are repairing ceilings. They'll also be replacing a couple of rotted windows, but we ditched the plan for the other windows because we ran short on spare funds. So, nothing glamorous.

I'm also having one of those days where I wonder if we made the right decision on schools for HKF. Again. Drama at the co-op. Whee.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Advice, pls: I'm going away for the weekend. My usual catsitter (my niece) no longer lives here, and my neighbor will also be away. Will my two kitties be all right for three days by themselves, with lots of bowls of food and water and two litterboxes?

Always Anti-fascist!

We've done that before...maybe we are bad cat parents, though. The only thing I don't love about dogs...you can't do that. And she eats my toenail clippings.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Zen, I've left my cats up to a week. But I have an autofeeder that spits out food twice a day and holds about 10 days worth of food. I just left lots of water and made sure the toilet lids were up.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

What Sail said. I leave a bunch of water sources and tons of food and she's fine. (My cat is not an overeater - if yours is then a dispenser would probably be a really good idea.)

Will my two kitties be all right for three days by themselves, with lots of bowls of food and water and two litterboxes?

I did that many times with no ill effects. I just obsessively made sure there was enough water and shut off the rooms where they did riskier climbing and hiding. I may also have been a bad cat owner.

not your mom's socks.

Ok I was so not ready to have this work done. I had no plan. Blergh. now the house is in the middle of being a complete diaster and I'm just realizing I should have a plan. Also, as I mis-posted in Natter, the "easily patched" ceiling fell down. Glahhh.
