Yeah he's helping me with trying to find a place, but I've contacted a few places and they haven't been receptive to the renting to someone without meeting them in person.
I'm not sure how to approach it without sounding like a scam or something.

I'll ask my brother what they did. But -- people move across the country all the time and have to rent a place sight unseen (several people here have done it, IIRC); maybe you just need the right script for what to tell potential landlords.

When I moved to PA, I took a weekend trip here a few weeks before the move and looked at a few apartments and decided which one to rent. I'd made calls during the previous week to set up appointments to look at apartments. (I had less than a month to move, though.)

The other thing is I haven't set down a firm date to move, I have an idea but not a firm date, but I'm not sure how about the right script.
We've been talking about this for almost a year now and it's getting to feel more real and of course I have all these anxieties that it's not going to happen.

Because I LOVE it when someone tells me he'll do something, I'm trusting her, and then find out after 3 weeks she hasn't lift a finger - after I asked her several times if it's working for her and if she needs help.
Remind me again, why do I trust people?
