He didn't even have a cold. I mean, he was at a night club Sat night at 11ish.
ETA: Here's a good GD bed and breakfast a friend has stayed at before. Also, do a ghost or vampire tour too. Even if you think ghosts and vampires are cheesy, there's often a lot of history packed into the tours as well.

My condolences and many virtual hugs to both of you.
the idea is to try and make it before it gets oppressively hot
The weather from mid-March through late April can be delightful. Try to come up with some indoor activities in case you get a rainy day -- you can get flooding rains at just about any time of year.
we both love cheesy ghost and vampire tours, that's good stuff! History is a great bonus as well :)
April can be a pain though if it's during JazzFest.
DJ-- my mom's BFF's husband died suddenly. He was just 50, a hiker/kayaker, seemed to be in perfect health. Tyey were talking, she went in to brush her teeth, came back to the bedroom and he had died. They told her it just happens, sometimes.
It seems my friend, after clubbing was up with his neighbor (who every one agrees is an asshole) after the club and when his friends from out of town woke up yesterday, they couldn't wake up M. Cops questioned neighbor dude who had to be admitted to the hospital b/c he had so much Valium in him, so they're assuming (they being our mutual friends) that's what happened to M as well.
Other than being really uncomfortable, the first infusion is going well.
{{{sj}}} sorry for the discomfort but Yay! for it going well.
Erin, I will again plug my favorite B&B in New Orleans, the Elysian Fields Inn. It's in Marigny, about a 15 minute walk from the French Quarter, right off of the highway. It's $99 a night, with free wi fi and breakfast. The couple that runs it, Jim and Leigh, are great.
