I've had better luck finding employees with the right temperament and then teaching them in any areas where their skills may be lacking, than I have had when I've hired people who excellent skill sets but don't mesh well with my expectations for dealing with people.
I'll admit, I
know
I've gotten some jobs not because of my technical skills, but because I'm personable and good at making others want to talk to me.
How did I not hear Summer Glau is in a new series? The Cape. She is looking older, and I say that in a good way. Hubba hubba!
Good lord, I feel like hammered crap today. Achy, mucous-filled, coughing, feverish, and pouty about the previous four things. Good thing I have about a month of sick leave banked. I just hope this clears up by tomorrow morning, as that's my next flying lesson. (Priorities!)
Feel better, Calli. I'm glad you're staying home today.
Calli, I'm glad you're staying home today, too, especially because I just saw a car that looks just like yours in a bad accident on the way in to work today. I came into the thread to make sure it wasn't yours.
Also, feel better!
Oh, dear. No, I'm lying on the sofa with a cat across my chest. Pity about the other driver, though.
She is looking older, and I say that in a good way. Hubba hubba!
I know! She's not a waif anymore. If it weren't for her voice, I'm not sure I'd recognize her anymore. I think my Kinsey needle actually twitched.
BTW, has anyone heard from Maria? Did she ever get home last night?
Yeah, after about 13 hours on the road, poor thing.
Jeebus-- I was tweeting with her between hours 10 and 11 and I know she was ready to fall over and more by that point.
