I've done that before. I might be doing it now, and it's fucking great. Journalism degree:$40,000 Transportation costs for getting to school for seven years: about $12,000. Boring people witless on facebook about the latest broadcasting controversy: Priceless.
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Hey, omnis, good to see you!
Every time I hear about something like this I think about those people who are unable to fight as hard for what they need as you were able to in this situation.
Before he died, my uncle was an advocate for the disabled. He was loud, aggressive, and sometimes a little over the top, but it was because he was fighting for people whose voices couldn't be heard (sometimes literally) and governments, businesses, and other institutions do a good job of pretending not to hear when it comes to the disabled.
He had to advocate for himself a lot after his accident and found he was good at it and understood how horribly difficult it was for many people to do the same.
I miss him.
I didn't mean to be awesome.
You are so awesome, that it just oozes out of you when you aren't trying.

He sounds like he was awesome, too.
Ginger! I got your package! In fact, it may have arrived on Saturday, but we just forgot to check the mail. But what a darling little book it is. Thank you! It is making me smile.

If I could get some tenant~ma, that would be great. I am hoping that our crazy tenant will take the opportunity to move out of my condo this week.
Nora, sending out the tenant~ma. Not just that this one moves on, but that your next one(s) will be decent, responsible people who don't annoy your former neighbors so much.
seconding the tenant~ma. Landlording is hard.
I'm a decent advocate, but it's from necessity, not love of the game. I tried really hard to develop passion for it, because that seems to be the one place on the planet people really want me to be, but all I found is that I like winning a lot, which, you know, duh!
Teaching was great! Lovely class. Lots of very engaged students who are interested in the subject. Always good.

That's true for me too, but I'm developing a love of it anyway. I couldn't do it (or equality training) full-time, though. I admire TG for planning to.
He sounds like he was awesome, too.
He really does.
Argh. And OUCH. I just went to the dentist and they say I need a crown. I don't understand why they can't just toss some glue or cement on the crack. $500 even after my insurance. Eeeeesh.
