Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
You're talking to the girl who made homemade chicken soup for a co-worker's daughter last week after the co-worker bitched to my office mate that she was hurt and felt left out that I had fixed office mate lunch but now co-worker. (There was a very good reason why I was fixing lunch for my office mate, but I digress.)
WTFF? "Where's MY home-cooked meal?"
What's next -- "Bring me a sammich, bitch!"?

Pix, my sister is an internist, and she has always been generous with offering medical advice/info for friends, family, and friends of family. If there's anything that you'd like to have me ask her, just let me know, or I could get you in touch with her.

Yeah, pretty much. Except she never said anything to me--just told my office mate that her feelings were hurt, which made my office mate feel guilty, and it was difficult for her to enjoy the lunch. I only found out because office mate said, "Don't bring me lunch anymore," when I had said I'd bring her lunch all week. And I was all, "WHA?" And she told me.
And co-worker's daughter had been in the office, and we suspected she was sick, so I made her soup, so she could see that am an equal-opportunity nice person. That I don't do the same thing for everyone, but I do what people might need or like. She still doesn't know that I know, and all is well in the office.
Apparently, I'm still annoyed about the whole thing, though.
I think the idea is to reinforce that being thoughtless is a bad idea while also make sure that no feud has started.
This precisely.
And, yes brenda, I've decided to not even go there with the boat. My suspicion is not proof by any stretch, so no need for that. I'm not even sure I should mention it to my landlord, owner of the boat. Honestly, I'm sort of amazed that the thing has set there for 10 years, undisturbed anyway.
If he asks, I'll speak the truth as I know it. Otherwise, probably not.
Now that I'm all geared up for 'the talk', I'm frustrated that no one is around. I've also trying to find out whether or not it is a rental. This will inform any future action, if required.
A friend already mentioned that the noise ordinance requires quiet time after 10pm.
Shuh!! When has that ever been enforced around here. Then again, good to know.
This is a dumb question because I have been reading the updates, but do we know what happened to Drew? I know he had his gallbladder removed and then something went wrong? It's just freaky hat he had a minor surgery and now will be in the hospital for weeks.
ION, my SIL had a 9 lb, 14oz baby boy named Levi Quentin today. I am impressed by her accomplishment.
Perhaps you should give them some hemorrhoid medication, Bonny. Or high-fiber cookies.
I know he had his gallbladder removed and then something went wrong?
He has pancreatis. They think maybe a gallstone got loose and did some damage.
Okay, it was the pancreatitis that put him in the hospital. It's just so freaky that ine could have surgery and end up so much worse.

My original impulse was to lean out the window and 'join the conversation' with a remedy suggestion. Shoulda done that. But I just got so mad! These folks are definitely bearing the brunt of my disgust over the lack of civility in society in general. I have to cop to that.
One recommendation in the dog park was that I write a note and include the wikipedia page in re: the disorder.
Honestly though, I'm not even sure the residents were present at this point, so I'm going to save the jokey stuff until I know for sure.
When you make cookies for them, consider making chocolate Ex-lax chip cookies.
