[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

{{{Barb}}}
ugh Barb. That's obnoxious and wrong. Also? Wrong!
Amych, I wish for you that you find a better job soonest, and that you have smooth sailing in the meantime.
{{Quester}}
Aw, thanks guys. And it goes without saying that all of the huggage is returned tenfold, with special squishies to those what needs it.
Also, I may be more than a little drunk.
group hug !!!!!!
eta: wine makes group hugs better -- trust me
beth is totally trustworthy. pounces onto hug pile
Though in my case it's bourbon, of course.
amych, dood, discernment~ma to you. Also, I work in your town most days, so if you are in the mood for a drink on Tuesday, lemme know. Be it celebratory, commiseratey, or just for the hell of it.
The nice thing about observe and describe is that you can focus it outwards or inwards.
I am Jilli and juliana with my sensitivity to music and need to be careful. Sometimes I use it to wallow, a la Xander, and then shift it gradually until I've worked my way out of the funk. Sometimes I'll go though a pile of CDs before I find the right one. And what works one day may not work the next.
quester, I hate that the universe is piling on you so. Fuck you, universe! Back off!
I left the house today. It was very exciting. I went to the eco shop for a sale on socks and then the thrift store next door, where I got a Corian cutting board, two nice wool scarves, a teal long sleeve t, a lined brown skirt, and a new cat food bowl for sixteen bucks. Then I took amyth Wendy's for dinner, and even went out for a drink with my roommate! And now I'm home waiting for the nyquil to kick in.
Joining the group hug for Barb, amych and quester. May you all have better days today. Job~ma, amych.
I love being in my church choir. I've just joined (was a chorister for years but not recently), and it is a very happy-making activity. And they've invited me out to brunch this morning.
smonster, it sounds like you had a grand day. I hope you continue to feel better, and when the work week starts up again, you are ready for it.
Seska, I'm glad you joined your church choir, especially since it makes you so happy.
The nice thing about observe and describe is that you can focus it outwards or inwards.
Observe and describe - the more I think about it, the more I think it might be useful, if not in that particular situation, then at least sometime. The more I think about it, the more I want to try it out in that situation.
Oatmeal with apple-cranberry sauce and cashews.
I put "What Can We Do To a Drunken Sailor" on my list of songs to sing. Since I can never remember the proper lyrics I have made up a few verses. I'll let you know if I add any good ones.
According to the book I am reading, and is sitting on my nightstand, the name of that song is "Bumboat," but there's a version of it by the Irish Rovers called "Drunken Sailor," so maybe it's one of those amorphous songs.
I know a number of people have "drunken soldier" as the words.
