Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Compassionately intolerant

Windsparrow, may all the comfort and love that you have sent in our direction countless times in the past loop back multiplied to welcome you home.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

A really great story about Melissa and Rebecca (her mom), btw, for those who haven't seen it on my FB feed: [link]

ETA: and even the comments are nice!

I love the comment from the person from California who said they also had a memorial service for Melissa there, and that 150 came to it. That's really lovely, despite the unfathomable loss.

And I was just coming to say that I had a little flip out last night about my uncle and really it's not something K&K can deal with right now so I feel terrible.

DJ, you're grieving, too. Flipping out can be part of that, and given these circumstances, I think it's to be expected.

I don't remember who K&K are, I'm sorry. But I was going to say that sure, they can't deal with your flipping out, but equally as valid is the fact that *you* can't deal with the seemingly casual, uncaring attitude your aunt is displaying right now, especially on FB where you can see it.

It's okay to flip out. You'll all get through it.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

They are my cousins. Step-daughters to the aunt. They're my closest connection to that side of the family.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

~ma for Andi. I must've missed what's going on, but I did see that Daniel said she'd be home soon, yes?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

DJ, they haven't shared any specifics with us.

I am pleased to report that today is going much better. Yayes. I still haven't had The Talk with Temper Girl, but I'm waiting on a call before I can do that.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Welcome home, Andi! You've been missed!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

So glad you are home, Andi!

Andi, I read your Beep Me post, and welcome home!!!

Please let us know if we can help, whether it's to post entertaining links, or to vent to us, or just to be in this with you.

Obviously no one can ever totally understand someone else's difficulties, but I *so* understand the evil combination of major depression and body image demons. So very very much. If you ever want to talk about it, know that this is NOT a place where you'll be met with "Why don't you just try this?" or "Well, you should have done THAT!"

Nope. Only love. Be good to yourself, and bask in Daniel-love and cat-love.
