Dear SIL:
If you post this today:
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered come to me. With tearful eyes i watched you, and saw you pass away. Although i loved you dearly, i couldn't make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke my heart to prove to me, he only takes the best. Put this on your status if there is someone in heaven you miss every day.
After posting yesterday that your son (my brother's stepson) was in a serious car accident, I may freak a little bit and not read all the way to the last sentence before calling to find out what's going on. So, is my brother laughing harder at me or at you?
Ugh Pix, just read your update. I so so hope that you and ND get some good news soon.
Thanks, Burrell. It's really not bad news, just more of the same. The only worrisome news was the elevated white blood cell count, but it's not too bad right now, so we are hoping it's nothing major. And honestly, the food my coworkers have been making me and the fact that my mom is coming are both godsends.
Drew's a lot more lucid than he had been, and that's nice too. When he's awake, he's much more himself. He still falls asleep mid-sentence when he takes his pain meds, which embarasses him but I think is kind of adorable.

We have both decided that we have tested the "in sickness" part of our vows quite enough and are ready for a nice long dose of "and health" in the future.

Yeah, I think so. You keep hogging all the sick.
Yeah, when I was hooked up to the morphine pump, I would just kinda slur and mumb...eh? What's tha....
But it was nice, because OW.
As of late yesterday, we own a house! (Complete with all its problems to be fixed. Heh.) Moving in two weeks. Stairlift installed in a week (but there won't be a ramp for a few weeks yet). Builders starting on Monday. The Girl goes to Israel tomorrow for a week. I am going to stay very calm and pack things, yes I am. House!
Continued ~ma for Drew and Pix.

Yeah. We're not even touching 'sickness and health' in our vows. Wishing you much, much more of the 'health' part from now on!
Congratulations on the homeownership, Seska!
Continued health~ma for the PixDesigns
You can light a piece of spaghetti or a twist of paper by holding it against an electric burner. It's not enormously safe, at least, it doesn't feel enormously safe when I do it, but it can be done.
This needs to go in the Buffista Book of Wisdom.
ion, I didn't know anything about buckyballs until today.
neither did i, had to google that.
