Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Do they still play football when it's raining? There's definitely a storm coming in.

(The last time I was at a football game was when I was a junior football cheerleader in fourth grade. And I had no interest in what was going on on the field -- I just liked the dance and gymnastics parts of it, and that I always got to be on top of the pyramids.)

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Yep. Snow too. The only thing that would make them call or postpone the game is lightning or other dangerous weather phenomena.

ION, someone please tell me to stop wallowing. I'm just feeling sorry for myself, and there are lots of other people who have it worse than me.

Stop wallowing. At least you are not as desperate for work as Scott Baio and Peter Wingfield were when they agreed to do Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 ... the expressions on Peter's face... gamely hamming it up for the camera.... heartbreaking.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Football games in heavy snow can be very amusing.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Shit. I totally fucked up. I was supposed to meet my co-leader and go over Daisy stuff and I totally spaced it and we went bowling with another family and now she's (totally rightfully) pissed and not answering my texts to come and get her right now and go out.

Fuck fuck fuck. Crap. Fuck.

Aw crud, Aims. I hope you can get in touch with her soon.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I tried to call her on my way home from work, but her phone was dead. I left her a message, but she didn't get it and waited at the restaturant for a half hour and I would be SO BLEEPING PISSED if the situation were turned around so I totally get it.

Dear SIL:

If you post this today:

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered come to me. With tearful eyes i watched you, and saw you pass away. Although i loved you dearly, i couldn't make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke my heart to prove to me, he only takes the best. Put this on your status if there is someone in heaven you miss every day.

After posting yesterday that your son (my brother's stepson) was in a serious car accident, I may freak a little bit and not read all the way to the last sentence before calling to find out what's going on. So, is my brother laughing harder at me or at you?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh Pix, just read your update. I so so hope that you and ND get some good news soon.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Thanks, Burrell. It's really not bad news, just more of the same. The only worrisome news was the elevated white blood cell count, but it's not too bad right now, so we are hoping it's nothing major. And honestly, the food my coworkers have been making me and the fact that my mom is coming are both godsends.

Drew's a lot more lucid than he had been, and that's nice too. When he's awake, he's much more himself. He still falls asleep mid-sentence when he takes his pain meds, which embarasses him but I think is kind of adorable.
