Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, dear. Condolences, DJ, I'm so sorry.

Frank, glad your brother's surgery went well.

sj, carry some ribbon in your pocket. If anyone whines about where's their ribbon, wrap it around their head.

Steph, I hope you've learned your lesson: ignoring Buffistas who tell you to go to the doctor gives you pleurisy.

Hil, if they're growing in straight and not gonna crowd your other teeth, leave 'em. Otherwise, yank 'em. Mine were growing forward, as if *aimed* at my other teeth. Had to come out. But please, find another dentist besides Dr. Won't-Commit-to-an-Opinion.

Not their throat?

I care about your sanity

Oh, that disappeared a long time ago.

Not their throat?

I was trying to be nice!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Deciding factor was that it hurts. Thus, yanked today. Now, hurts a lot more, but that should stop soon.

Had to call three different Chinese restaurants before finding one that would put sesame noodle sauce on rice noodles.

What a pain. I'm glad you found one, and I hope you are able to eat.

Always Anti-fascist!

I'm kind of psyched this year...things are looking up, a little. Got a check at A VERY opportune time last week.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Oh, I forgot to tell you earlier. There's a new Thai restaurant in our little town. It's the first Thai restaurant here. And as a matter of fact, it is the first one near anywhere where I have lived. So when we went to it today, it was a first. But I had heard that it was really good - everything so fresh, and the spring rolls were especially good. There was an article in the local paper about the place, that mentioned that many customers come in and ask advice about what to try, naming a couple of dishes that make a good introduction to Thai food. So we tried the Chicken Pad Pak. It was very good, but I discovered the chili sauce at the table is exponentially hotter than what they have out at our favorite Chinese restaurant. I really liked the spring rolls, even though they were very different from anything I had ever had before. I liked the weird sticky texture of the rice wraps, against the crisp veggies. I look forward to trying a variety of new dishes there, and a little sad that if I do, then it will be a while until I get to have the pad pak again.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

WS, I love Thai food. So good.

I got each of the trainees a pair of Smartwool boot liners and a small tin of Burts Bees hand salve. I hope they don't hate them. I'm having gift insecurity.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

mmmm, thai food

i'm taking advantage of my temporary absence of appetite to decrease my caloric intake significantly (if all my body wants is hot tea and soup, so be it). kinda gotta, since the only exercise i'm getting is walking around my 815 sq' house.

Spent another 2 days home sick from work. my experiment of attempting to work on Sunday FAILED miserably. It's really not good when you can't speak loud enough to talk over hysterical callers and even worse when you realize that you are (somewhat) deliberately skipping peripheral officer-safety questions because you need to turn off your mic and have a cough-till-you-gag episode. my calls were suffering, and that's no ok.

Plus my coworkers looked at me with evil in their eyes, and i can't blame them. i hate sick people on the floor. even if they are "beyond contagion" according to a Dr.

So, all told, skipped 3 of my 4 day workweek and got NOTHING productive done. I might have written and mailed one card.

ION, some relief from raising the head of my bed on some risers i had hanging out in the basement. It's a little trippy-feeling at first, having my head 8 inches higher than my feet, but it cut down the coughing impulse a bit and i'd try sleeping upside down with a cat under each armpit if someone told me that would cut down the coughing. Tonight we try codeine in pill form, and see if that's strong enough to get me close to 8 hrs without ambien. Turns out the Tylenol+ is significantly stronger than the cough syrup. I wonder what the pharmacist thinks about my history, what with 2 diff types of codeine this week and vicodin and oxycontin about this time last year for the broken foot.
