Nora, we stayed at Storyville Hotel. We had a lovely time, but the owner's sense of decor is... quirky. The backyard is gorgeous, and there's a 2nd floor balcony with rocking chairs. Our room lookedout on the street, but the ground floor room in the back is quite dark. It's on Esplanade, a few blocks north of North Rampart. No breakfast. Call me if you want more info.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Mom just asked me if I want to go see Charo on New Years Eve at Clubhouse 3. I am kinda tempted.
Congrats to your sister, smonster!
Add me to the list of peeps who think Teppy should go to Urgent Care. You poor woman.
Shanie's first birthday party (sob): [link]
Shane in the ball pit made me snorfle. So cute.
Don't sob, Glam. They just get more interesting. The baby era is closing but the toddler era has much to recommend it.
Gorgeous cake, too.
I keep trying gargling with salt water but it doesn't come near touching where my throat actually hurts - above the mouth but below the nose. Maybe if i snort salt water? Yeah, no, that doesn't seem like a good idea. The more i look at diagrams, the more i think my current problem is not actually my throat by my adenoids - that's exactly where the pain is, and it spreads to my ears every time i yawn, cough, or swallow. And ibuprofen has stopped working :( It's kinda fascinating, how much this particular bout of ick is moving and progressing each day. It's like the wheel of illness: where will it land next?!?! )

Oh yeah. I'm loving watching him grow and looking forward to his first words, first steps, etc. It's just going so fast now!
I did not go to Urgent Care, and I slept about 10 hours. I still feel crappy, but my lungs aren't hurting the way they did yesterday. I still have that nagging cough, but no fever.
Honestly, unless I take a turn for the worse today, I'm just going to wait to call my doctor tomorrow. He's seen me twice for this illness, so I'd rather he see me since he can assess how it's developed/changed.
I'm not one to rush for antibiotics, especially in a case where they wouldn't do any good. But this started at the end of November/very beginning of December, so that's been 3 weeks. And it's been 3 weeks in which it's only gotten worse/more complicated. So maybe antibiotics are in order. Or, I don't know, robotic lungs. I wonder if my health insurance covers robotic lungs?
If I *do* feel suddenly worse today -- if my lungs start hurting the way they did yesterday -- I'll make Tim take me to Urgent Care. Promise.
Glad it's improving, if only slightly. The no fever part is somewhat reassuring. (It sure reassures me!)
I think someone needs to invent a device similar to the saliva-suckers dentists use, but smaller and quieter that you can put in your mouth at night to eliminate that need for swallowing. I swear, if i didn't have to swallow i could fall asleep so much faster! and not have to keep a towel over the pillow to catch all my drool. yuck.
Teppy, I hope you're feeling better very soon.
GC, your birthday boy is a cutiepie!
oooh, just now while irrigating my nasals i tried sniffing down some of the salt water then spitting it out. stopped hurting for almost 10 minutes!
