'Dirty Girls'
Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I use 'bugger' as one of my go-to swear words. Despite the referent, it's really quite mild in the Australian context. (And the English.) I got called out on it once, on a board frequented by Mormons, again by someone who'd spent some time in England. (For some reason they thought I was a teenager going for shock value.) I apologised sincerely, assuring them I hadn't intended to slip anything in through the back door. Signed off with "Roger and out". They complimented me on my courtesy.
So many people would have been nasty, William. I'm glad to see you handled this The Other Way.
Jeez, erin. Recommend she watch some s2 Buffy, starting with "Surprise?"
Yeah, there's no stigma in her house on having sex. Just on getting romantically involved with incredibly innapropriate guys who only want to use her for sex and then break her heart. That's the problem, know that's what's coming.
I mean, there's a teeny possibility that he actually DOES like her for her....but given that he's already slept his way through the current seniors, juniors, and sophomores....well, it's far more likely that she's just giving in to 6 more months or high drama and misery.
Good point smonster!!! Heck, i'd have her watch the Parker episodes during freshman year in college, since that's a more apt comparison. I think she's only seen S1.
Erin, what's the worst case scenario?
well, it's far more likely that she's just giving in to 6 more months or high drama and misery.
If it's this? The damage to her family relationships if they keep going hard core on this could very well far outshine that.
If that's what's coming, it's what's coming. It does sound like the assume-she's-not-giving-up-and-make-sure-she-knows-what-she-needs-to is the one role not currently filled, and you could really benefit her by taking that on. And then, when it all inevitably goes bad, be the one person she maybe doesn't see as the enemy.

That's good news. Hopefully it doesn't happen at school either.
Sorry I'm assuming she's going to go ahead with the dumb choice...
I guess my thinking is that's where you can come in, you know? Telling her its her choice, respecting her to make the decision instead of being another person saying NO. Since, you know, that "NO" is unlikely to work.
t high fives Trudy
Trudy, i'm assuming she's going ahead with dumb choice also.
I will be very very very happy if she denies this jerk and continues learning about her sexuality with someone who actually care about her as a person. But my happiness isn't very important here....
Interesting that she's being far more chatty on facebook messaging that in person. Good to know!
I'm watching s1 Chrismukkah and I think I'm going to make hot cocoa and put Peppermint Joe Joe ice cream in it. Oh, Marissa. You are still annoying as shit.
