At my ex-university, every year on the day the students handed in their final papers, we librarians would put on Desk Set and watch it while we waited for all of them to drop off their stuff.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
The Ref, A Christmas Story, and maybe I'll dig out that Christmas Homicide episode with Munch and the kid, and the card game.
And this:
MUNCH: Name one miracle you've witnessed in your lifetime.
BOLANDER: How about that I haven't killed you yet?
It really is surprisingly touching, but I'll never believe you can hustle people playing hearts.
I love Desk Set and will watch it at any time of the year.
Oh, yeah. But it still seems like a Christmas movie to me -- just one that I'll watch any time.
I love The Grinch, Charlie Brown Xmas Special, and It's a Wonderful Life.
Miracle on 34th Street and Charlie Brown.
Oh, and thank you to javachik for sending me the neatest picture in the wild of STARS! She found it in Dublin, y'all! How cool is that? My book's in Ireland!
I don't have much in the way of beloved Christmas movies. I think I prefer Christmas episodes of TV, like Chrismukkah from The OC or A Very Supernatural Christmas.
I don't think of When Harry Met Sally as a Christmas movie, although I love it a lot. I probably associate it more with New Year's.
Barb, oh, sorry, I should have specified - that was Dublin, CA! I was just in France for 3 weeks, but not Ireland. ;)
Chrismukkah from The OC
Which season? I love the S1 one, but I also like the -- was it S2? -- where they all light up the house of the girl who turns out to be Caleb's daughter.
Aw, Chrismukkah! I need to break out my first season OC DVDs.
