Hey, not really here (at work being stressed about work stuff for once), but nothing has changed. He has the central line and is getting nutrition and fluids through it. He's still in a lot of pain and everything is still extremely swollen, but his lab numbers are getting a little better each day. It's just going to be a long road to recovery. At some point they will try reintroducing fluids to his system and (someday) real food, but that's a long way off. I'm exhausted and really starting to feel the strain of juggling work and hospital, but I'm dealing. My coworkers are amazing and have arranged to take turns making food for me for the next week, so at least I will have lunch and dinner.

Spike's Bitches 46: Don't I get a cookie?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Much strength to you and ND, Pix. Bless your hearts. May that long road be surprisingly easy to tread for both of you.

Sorry your eye is still bugging you, smonster. Glad to hear that the meetings are going well, though. I look forward to hearing more!
Stay safe, Shir.
My brother called me last night in the car on the way home from the hospital. So he can talk, though barely. And he's home, which is good. He sounded way out of it, but that's to be expected, I guess. He said that he has a scar that takes up the whole left side of his head now. Yikes. But he seemed in pretty good spirits, though it's hard to tell, since my nephew was in the car.
May Drew's healing be swift and complete.
Thanks for the update, amyth. I can't imagine how scary that must be. I'm glad to hear he is doing as well as he is.
THat sounds pretty good, amyth. I hope the news only gets better.
Sending all my healing energy towards Pasadena.
In kitty cat news I have found a foster foster for Persey. We go to meet M today but every time I talk to the current foster, P, I feel like she is starting to cry. She does have two sisters in the hospital so it's probably not just Loss of Cat that is making her upset but I am planning to offer that maybe P and M can timeshare the cat and I can still visit for flea treatments and nail clippings and such.
